10 Good
  1. Lawrence Co. while not having played the toughest schedule, have played some good, running teams. Rowan Co., while not a great team, few people slowed Cross down. If memory serves em correctly he had something like 31 yards rushing, and he had 32 yards on the first play of the game for them. Also we did play Sheldon Clark who is number 4 in the state in 3A. They are a hard nosed, smash mouth football team. We did beat them. So, while no the schedule as a whole hasn'tbeen great, we have played some good teams and beat them. Also we have blown out the teams we should beat bad, we haven't really had a let down this year. I say Lawrence in this one 34-21
  2. Halftime Rowan Co. 14 Lawrence Co. 13 Been a poorly ref'd game in Rowan Counties favor. Lawrence should have probably 14 more points if not for bad penalties.
  3. I'm not talking about everyone, you did pick this to win by two TD's. If you haven't seen them play you just can't understand the power of Shane Pack, and the speed they have with West and Hunter James. Their O-line is very solid, and their D is very very tough. You can't really run against them. Plus they have probably the top punter in the state in Pack as well, so they usually always come out on top in the field position game.
  4. It doesn't seem many people give Lawrence County much love on here. They have a running game that has so many people they can throw at you that their running backs never get tired. They run 5 running backs consistently every game, so when the second half roles around D's are tired and they are not. Greenup will have to play near flawless ball to beat this LC team. I think LC wins 38 - 18.
  5. He doesn't play a lot of D, they like to keep him fresh for offense since he is the main ball carrier, and they have a very capable set of linebackers already in there. But if it is a big run stop situation and they need some big bodies in they will bring him in.
  6. Now I know he may not be Mr. Football but there is a very good player down in Lawrence County named Shane Pack. He doesn't put up the big flashy numbers, he is a big bruising RB at about 6'1 235lbs. His stats right now are 57 carries, 469 yards, 8.2 per attempt, and 9 touchdowns all while being a top 15 punter in the state. Any time they need a yard or 2 he always picks it up. He puts that team on his back very often and has carried them to a 4-0 record so far. Now I know he isn't as flashy and won't be considered for it, he is one heck of a football player.
  7. You are right West can fly. They also inducted Jame "Smoke" Storts into the Hall of Fame.
  8. Anyone have any updates on the Lawrence/SV game? It was supposed to start at 7.
  9. What are everyone's opinions on the outcome of this game?
  10. I was wondering how lawrence county was looking for next year. Is Boone Goldsmith still there or did he leave with his father? How are they looking for next year after a few down years?
  11. I was at this game tonight and it was a great game. One of the best I've been to in a long time. I thought that Allen was going to pull away in the first half after they starting hitting there threes in the second quarter. Johnson Central kept playing hard and never gave up. I give great credit to their coach and the young players that came in and gave them great minutes. J.K. Hall did a great job all game and played great defense on Allen Centrals Crum the second half. He was on fire from outside in the first half but hall did a great job on him. Both teams played well congrats to the eagles.
