On the 2004 state team they had 5 first year starting linemen and they did pretty imo:dancingpa So I dont think it will be a problem to add some guys that havent played there before keeping in mind highlands position blocks (just getting in the way of the defender just long enough for the speed back to get past) and trapping is just the same as a running back going out to block on the sweep motion play which dale loves so much. :sssh:

I'm pretty sure the 04 defense scored more points that year than it gave up... And You could be right about the Shawn Robbin's fumble being one of the differences in the game, but he fumble twice in the 2nd quarter and thats its. And he was the only running back to run for more than 100 yards in a game on that team and he had most of his yards in the 1st half. Good Game shawn....:dancingpa

Very true he is a great high school player and could help the team more playing somewhere else... maybe RB/WR/LB/CB and on some trick plays that Dale loves so much:dancingpa

Yeah but they were still better than ever other team in NKY except those other blue boys and maybe Ryle...

Believe me I am one of the Highlands faithful and they dont need a running QB when they have two or three good backs year in and out... the only time you need a dual threat QB is when your running backs are not producing and Highlands seems to never have that problem...

That speed is rare but as not as rare as you think... there are numerous college teams that have mutiple players run under a 4.4 coming out of highschool.... Not all those guys make it to the draft or even get any clock on their college teams...

He doesnt have D-1 speed thier are tons of d-1 players is size who just can flat out FLY... I'm talking 4.2, 4.3 speed...

I Agree O-line def... Runnning back and wr is never a problem for Highlands...

The reason Dale's says that every is year becuase Higlands has had some great teams in the past and most of the kids on the teams grew up in fort thomas and they want to be as good as those past teams. Most of the kids look up to the old players and want to be like some of the past Highlands players and if a kids shoots for that he is selling his self short when he can be better... Which is why Dale tells the media that not to pump everybody, but to show his team he has confidence in his players and that they can be the next great Highlands team....:banana:

Erlanger has tons of talents in it, but there hasnt been a good coach there in ages so alot of the players go to diff. schools for example Sheffield- Cov Cath then Highlands Burke- Cov Cath Dixon- Cov Cath both Metzgers or how ever it is spelled- Dixie They lose tons because of the coaches I believe if he comes in more kids will stay home :thumb:

Does anyone know where Kremer is going to play next year?

1st and for most Highlands needs to change QB nothing against Clay but he isnt a natural Qb... maybe number #19 should be the QB 2nd they need to work on the mid-range passing game 3rd their D needs to get back to the way the 04 teams d was... they need to believe in the coaches... their coach on d will have them ready for every game... they need to believe that they are better than the team they are facing and most of all score points on d with there o they need to score points on d... 4th They need one player to step up and be the true leader... make sure everyone is ready to go and pick them all up when they are down... it doesnt have to be the best player just a great leader... for example Brad Bardo on the 04 team wasnt we best player but he was a great leader and made the rest of the team confident in each other.... P.S. to everyone who thinks they should run the less is wrong Highlands has won at 2 state championships with running teams...
