  1. Believe me when I say I don't dislike North Oldham. They have become rivals with Henry Co. and I'm just having fun with it. Matter of fact, if the new alignment comes through next year, the rivalry will be over. KHSSA can't leave things alone. About the time a good rivalry id developed, they come along and take it away. Its happend more than once at Henry. Henry has plenty to think about tomorrow night. Hope they play up to par. If they do, it should be a great high school game.

  2. Henry County travels to Owensboro Catholic Friday to battle a very good team. Henry is coming off a great win against Anderson Co. Will long road trip come into play? Look for another game with plenty of fireworks. Cath has several good receivers and a running back as good as the Cats have faced this year. Henry must stiffen their defense this week or it could get out of hand. Good luck to the Cats!

  3. Maybe the biggest win for Henry in the school's history. Don't know of a more exciting game for Henry, ever. Wildcats scored the last 18 points of the game coming back from 42-27 in the final quarter. Dylan Doll nails a field goal @ 16 seconds remaining for the final margin. Anderson made a couple of "hail Marys" that were knocked down by Henry County to end game. Henry QB Luke Magness had over 400 yards passing. Receivers were getting open and making catches and good runs. Run game was solid. Defense finally took care of business in the 4th quarter. One interesting note: there were no turnovers in this game. A total effort from Henry against a good Anderson County team. Henry's crowd was impressive and into the game. This team doesn't know what the word quit means. They fought for 48 minutes and prevailed in the end. Second win vs. a 5A school this season, both on the road. On to Owensboro Catholic next Friday for another of what I'm sure will be a battle. Go Cats, keep the faith!!

  4. I know we go back and forth with one another, but this message is for the coaches and players at Trimble County. It can not be easy going through a season as you are experiencing this year. I know its hard making it to practice on Monday when Friday nights aren't going so well. I know this because I went through a similar season. You must keep going forward in this battle. Believe it or not, you are making memories with your football buddies that will last a lifetime. 10 or 20 years from now you will see team mate and share a laugh and wonder how in the world we finished that season. Footbal teaches many life lessons. The most important is to not quit and walk away when things are not going well. You will have occasion in your lives when you can call on this season's experience and know everything will be alright. You have earned the respect of many just by staying the course. Here's hoping that sometime this season you can celebrate on Friday night. Keep your heads up, finish what you started and know you are doing what many could not and would not tattempt.
