I guess we can just let Southwestern and Rockcastle play in the regional championship if we listen to BigImpact and oldballcoach. At least we could save money for our programs.

Dreamland needs to relax. We are making observations about different teams there strenghts and weaknesses. I am not exactly a Southwestern fan but I enjoy watching them play along with several other central kentucky teams. :banana:

After watching the Maroons scrimmage one must wonder what if Coach Hines is showing all of his cards. They looked much better last year and return nearly all there talent. My guess is that Hines is not showing everything. But I would say that of most coachs in the preseason.

Rockcastle will be very good next year that is no doubt. They will miss Sarah Rowe more than they think though. It reminds me of watching LCA with Emily London two years ago when they won it all and last year when they did not make it to the regional torunament. LCA was loaded and still is even without Mitchell but they lack the glue that binds them. Rockcastle needs to find that glue that hold them together becouse for the last few years that has been Rowe.

If I were Mr Saylers I would be much more worried about what the other parents are saying about him than what is being said on a message board.

This conversation has went way south. Getting back on topic Southwestern will be one of the best teams in the 12th this year if not the best. :thumb:

I was told this would never happen as the family just wanted to be begged by the Southwestern crowd to stay around and get more attention( and that comes from the fine folks at Southwestern, parents that is). I guess the others at Southwestern knew the family more than oldballcoach did.

Dreamland just continues to throw the family under the bus, they could care less about attention.. The Family never was moving last year that was someone else that I had heard about. I will enjoy watching Soutwestern and Lincoln play this year. That is if Lincoln can improve on that wonderful AAU summer tournament they had. :dancingpa

I guess I will lose the Farm. It appears that her Dad will be moving in October to his new job and the rest of the family will follow in the spring. Good news for the Warriors.

I know the Hammond family personally. That was never gonna happen nor was ever discussed. I think IBALL was talking about Salyers not Hammond. I never slammed the family, I just stated that what you are saying about Saylers moving and what everyone else is saying is two different things. I say someone is not telling the truth.

 

You are the one saying she is leaving and you are betting the farm on it. If she is leaving, then you will know where she is going to play this year. Now tell us, what school in Southeastern Ohio is it going to be? Dont back up now, the farm rides on it.:lol:

I dont know what school she is going to. I just know where they are moving to. I work for a company that does business on a weekly basis with where her father works or at least does for another week or so. I have not heard it from him personnally but the people that work for him say he is leaving. I must have been badly informed last year but that was last year. I will miss watching her play for the warriors becouse I am an avidt basketball fan and watch them with several other schools in central kentucky while I work.

Morrow was one of the best players on the middle school circuit, but never had a coach to get her in at the high school level. Her freshman year, she was basically fighting for time against the player of the year in Lindsey Waters. Pyles will have Morrow as one of the best post players in the region if she can recover from her injury.

I agree with you that Pyles will get the most out of any player. He is the best in the 12th along with Noble and Story.

Hammond was never going anywhere last year. At least not to Connor. Rumor was that Saylers dad was telling they were going to Connor, just like this rumor that she is going to Ohio. Attention, attention, attention.

 

I have talked to several people in Pulaski County and they tell me that she is staying. OldBallCoach you need to really talk to your "source" on this. Something dont smell exactly right.

I see you are making predictions again this year OBC. I remember last year you said on BGP that Conner would be getting a transfer....you even said it was going to be a big girl. Well, Conner never got the transfer. So, my bet is that SW won't lose their big girl this year. I predict she stays at SW.

That spells problems for teams in the 12th. All Wayne was lacking last year was a big girl. They are gonna be tough now. If Saylers transfers like oldballcoach says she is gonna, and Morrow is at Wayne my top 5 would be now:

 

1. Wayne County

2. Lincoln County

3. Rockcastle County

4. Casey County

5. Monticello

Wayne lost Duncan and Bristow to graduation. Morrow was never a factor at Mccreary Central plus missing a year to injury is never easy to recover from. Wayne will not be as good as last year. Southwestern will miss Salyers but they still have both Fothergills and Fowler.

I heard today on my route in Somerset that Saylers WAS NOT moving. Apparently the Dad was not offered the job he thought he was gonna get. This comes from a source close to the team.

I will go out on a limb and bet the farm on it. She will be wearing different colors come basketball season.

News Flash that I caught wind of tonight. She will transferring to a school in southeastern Ohio before the 1st of September. Her Dad accepted a job in that area. I will miss seeing her play in the wigwam this year.

Salyers is enrolled and attending classes at Southwestern. She will play for the lady warriors this season and graduate with her class in May.

From the info I am getting this morning they are looking at what school district they want to move to at her dads new place of work.

Is she moving? If not, how is this similar?

I am not saying the situations are similiar. I am just pointing out how inconsistant the KHSAA is on there rulings.

If we are thinking of the boy I am not sure if was necessarily for monetary purposes. Mitchells family doesnt have a whole lot of money, but i do believe she gets to play her senior year. She has a much needed scholorship to Illinois to play for.

Great Kid who is caught in a mess. If the KHSAA rule her eligible then it will continue with there total lack of inconsistancy. Look at the two boys who transferred to Scott County they were ruled ineligble after Bone Fide Change of Residence. I believe that ruling has been or will be reversed. Lets hope that the Kid comes out okay and that she gets her college scholorship.

Yes she has verbally commited to Morehead State. I have no other details yet.

Big talk out of Southwestern is that Stephanie Salyers will be moving out of state. I am trying to find more details. This will hurt Southwestern tremendously.

Hopefully we will be at full strength when we play in the season. Lets see if your opinion changes then.

Lets hope that both teams stay at full strength all summer and all year. And who ever wins the 12th region in 2008/2009 will get my compliments. :scared:

I don't know how you could say we have looked good and bad over the summer. I could have said the same about Southwestern. At least I did not get on here bragging about beating teams without their players.

I dont think that anybody has bragged about beating anyone. Southwestern has beat some good teams over the summer. They may have been missing key players I dont know. You need to relax a little and understand that summer ball is summer ball. Lincoln has a fine squad that will compete with anybody in the region. I know Lincoln was missing some girls last weekend at KBA but even with that said they did not look very good getting beat by NDA by 30 points.

After watching some good and some not so good summer ball here are my updated rankings:

 

1. Lincoln County

2. Casey County

3. Wayne County

4. Rockcastle County

5. Southwestern

 

Lincoln has looked really good this summer as has Casey. Saw Wayne play twice and they are gonna be solid. Noble had Rock playing well, as they have 10 players that can play. Monticello from the four games I have saw are not as good as I first thought. Southwestern won the AAU State tourney, but it was against teams that did not have all their players, but thats still good enough to get them in the top 5.

1. Rockcastle County Its theres until someone beats them.

2. Southwestern Had a good summer and a should compete.

3. Lincoln County have looked good and bad over the summer.

4. Casey County still have good talent.

5. Wayne County looking okay this summer.
