Kentucky needs to join the 21st century and move to a class system like every other state has done.
-
Rock by double digits

Coach A has a few years until he's eligible for retirement but we hope he stays even longer... Actually this year was one of his best coaching jobs.. No one expected much from the Warriors this year and he and his staff led a young team without much experience, but willing to buy in to a fine season......
Go Warriors!!!
Give me a brake. Coach A should go. How many times can you run the ball up the middle. Against Rock #41 had a monster game with 3td catchs. He does not touch ball against HC. Very poor play calling and that is Coach A
-
Lets try and guess what plays that SW will run. Oh what a minute they run the ball up the middle everytime. Rock by as many as they want.
-
PC was the better team tonight. They beat SW at there own game. One thing that I noticed was the number of kids both schools had. PC had almost twice the kids dressed that SW had. I know the numbers have been down for SW but come on. It is time for a change at SW.

Lincoln is solid this year for sure and we should be the best team in region. What happened last year at Southwestern anyway oldballcoach? Heard alot of rumors.
The two sisters played for individual glory plain and simple. Rice is probably one of the weakest coaches in the region. Those two factors alone can sink the ship.
-
Loaded top to bottom. Solid coaching. If they do not win the 12th region it will be a major disappointment. But as stated before they must play as a team and utilize the tools that they have at there disposal. If they get jeolous and play for individual glory they will have a long year. If you want an example look at Southwestern last year. Lincoln has Story and hopefully he can keep things in check.

I would hate to have to face Tanner Perkins from Rock in the first game of the regionals. You can bet that the District champs from the 45th, 46th and the 48th are sweating the draw.

Thanks for the report, Ill bet Saylers is ready to be at Morehead?
I would quess that she is happy to be away from the drama and problems that swallowed SW basketball. She looked like she had fun playing Saturday with some girls that shared the basketball.
-
Sounds like the 12th had their way. How did Stearns look?
She looked good. I have enjoyed watching her play these last few seasons. She and Salyers of Southwestern worked very well with each other.

Here is a link to the story on the games. It was a fun couple of games to watch. The 12th region just had to many horses for the 13th.
-
What a great game to watch. I truly enjoyed watching both semi's and the final game. Iroquois and E-town both are great.
-
Lincoln should be the easy favorite with Wayne and Rockcastle not far behind.

This was a classic battle that I enjoyed right up to the very end. The last few minutes was painful though. Cant understand all the fouling there at the end. Who knows if they should have moved Upchurch the safety of the kids come first always err on the side of caution. Both teams should be proud on heck of a game.
-
This will be a great game. I would give the edge to Casey becouse Lincoln had to fight so hard to get past Rock.

Why ever end of every season some you so called basketball KNOW IT ALLS come on say Rice is leaveing?? I wish one of YOU KNOW IT ALLS could explian where you get you inside info. from??cause according to you all,he was leave for last 5 yrs and thing about it he is still there.so can you one of tell us where you get you info.beside just dream it up or little boy room.
I do not know if he is leaving or not. I am simply stating that Southwestern would have been better off had he left years ago.
-
Rice has never had his teams ready to play at Southwestern. They have won games on talent and little to no coaching. If Pyles, Noble, Souder, Story or Salyers would have had that talent they would have danced at Diddle. The team would have also had some disicipline.
-
oldballcoach how do you think Southwestern will do against Casey?
I think it will be close. They played an overtime game at Casey this year. Lets hope for an injury free tournament and whoever wins the 12th lets hope they represent us well in Bowling Green.
-
Looks like Salyers might have been better off to have went to the school in Southern Ohio like it was rumored at the first of the year than to have had to deal with this all year.
Who knows? I am sure that she is looking ahead to next year and playing for Morehead State.
Good luck against East.
-
Like I stated earlier Rice is the laughing stock of the region. No good coach will look at Southwestern until some things change. I think every person is aware of the problem with the program lets just say that it is all in the family. As far as Rice leaving I have no clue about that.

48th District All Tournament Team
Wayne County: Kayla Bowlin, Kayla Jones, Samantha Sexton, 48th Distict Tournament MVP Heather Stearns
Southwestern : Danay Fothergill, Devin Fothergill.
Monticello : Raven Frost, Courtney Morrow
McCreary Central : Tanisha Vanover, Holly Stevens.
I wasnt going to say anything about the All Tournament team but give me a braek. Raven Fost and Holly Stevens scored a combined 6 points. Also choosing so many makes the takes away from those who actually deserved the honor.
-
I thought this might happen. Wayne is playing their best ball right now. I will give Pyles credit, his teams peak at the right time and are very disciplined. Now someone is going to get a mad Southwestern team in the first round. Hope its not us.
Dreamland I would love for the Warriors to be ready next week but this team has serious issues to resolve. They do not share the ball certain players think they are a one person show. Rice also is the laughing stock of the region
