Has Billy G offered Hood Scholarship?
Yes! Along with about 25-30 other kid's in 08-09, and only about three or four available. Many commit's decommit at the last minute, and many offer's are retracted also in the recruiting "business".

You could also say that without the home court advantage, Mason would have won by a
quite larger margin. I have always heard there is a 10pt H.C. advantage. Mason might have won by 16 instead of six if they were on their home court that night.

The next time you're at a game and you get ready to yell the above, I want you to pause and then think about what you're actually saying.
I'm always amazed at how often I hear people yell this at refs.
So what are you amazed about and what are you actually saying?

I have yelled he dragged his pivot foot, because you can do that and it happens and is a walk!

I just read the khsaa stat leader's and saw that Jonathan Ferguson of
Elliott Co is leading the state in scoring at 28 pts per game. Elliott's team is also leading at 87.6 pts per game.
Congrats to a nice player and a nice team

I can't say whether or not, Fraley made the comment some say he did. To be honest, it doesn't sound out of character for him to talk a little playful smack in the heat of the battle. I can understand how someone who has never played the game or coached could be alarmed by such a comment, but to anyone who truly knows what goes on, on the floor, Fraley's chiding of Hicks was pretty mild. In fact, I think it's pretty funny...
Fraley and Hicks worked together at Greenup County High School for years. They know one another very well, and from what I've seen, they seem to be on pretty friendly terms. Jim Hicks is a good coach and a fierce competitor. I doubt he was too torn up. If Fraley did say it, he was probably just confirming something Hicks suggested first anyway.
This is truly an attempt to make a mountain out of a mole hill. At the very least no one has to worry about hearing Rose Hill's coach using profanity... :thumb:
It is possible that you could have, had Hick's college roomate been doing the reffing.

Same old Jimbo. When he gets beat it is someone elses fault. Why cant the man just be gracious in defeat as he is in victory. Jim was all smiles at half time when Bath was up 8 and in victory at Rose Hill in December (with Hall refing that one too). Sour grapes!!!!
It wasn't the class a tourament though. I was sitting behind Hick's and heard some of the thing's he said and what Fraley said was not a joke to him. He was genuinely mad. If I were a ref and my college roommate was coaching a game I would decline to ref it just for the sheer fact that it could and did end in a controversy. Now that I think about it Hall does ref a lot of rose Hill games

I'm sure that their coach will be thrilled to hear that he has been refered to as "absolute bottom tier" - lol.
I'm sure that he is doing a great job. I've long been a believer that teams are a reflection of their coach. Obviously, he has found the magic which works for them.
This Elliot County team are overachievers who obviously provide a lot of excitement for their fans, who look forward to having them represent them for the next couple of years.
I am Elliott Co. 100%. If you are going to quote me get it right!! I said according to most opinion's(I never said mine) their coach is bottom tier!! Every thing I put in the post was based on what I have heard(FROM OTHER PEOPLE) and read(FROM OTHER PEOPLE)

I don't know how Elliott Co. doe's it. According to most opinion's they have
small, average, mediocre player's. They don't play no defense at all. Their coach is absolute bottom tier. You hardly ever see any of their player's or the team in any ranking's at all. When you do the person or person's who did the poll didn't know what they were doing, and their poll wasn't worth considering.
They are almost non-existent in the local paper's and new's venues. Yet they start five sophomore's(probably would be "one" of the youngest in state) including three who played on last year's regional-runner up team. They have an 19-5 record. Average margin of victory is 16.5ppg. All five loss's combined total twenty(1,3,3,6,7). How you guy's(Elliott) compete with all those minus's I don't know. Whatever the secret is, don't tell anyone and keep up the good work!:thumb:

Ashland with way to many turnovers to win this one. Back to work for the Tomcats and good luck to Elliott County unless we meet again;)
Elliott County
Ethan Faulkner 18
Evan Faulkner 17
Ferguson 20
51.6% for the field.
Ashland
Bonner 20?
Around 60% from the feild.
Good hard pressure defense seems to have that(turnover's)effect!!:thumb:

I will take Elliott by 6!
-
Thats pretty much all 1st half, except for T.Knipp. The momentum had changed and a good time for Maynard would have been around the 6 minute mark in the 4th. If things had changed, he than could have went offense/defense.
If a frog had a thirtyeight a snake wouldn't mess with him!
I will take Elliott by three if the Ferguson boy is playing. Ashland by ten if not!

According to the team roster he is 6'2" and 175lb. I have watched him play several games and there was some doubt about him playing major D1. After watching him tonight there is no doubt. He scored 27 aginst Miller who guarded him for the most part. 6-13 from three(46%). He also penetrated with Miller all over him and got to the rim a few times and hit one or two and missed one or two.
He has almost two years to get better, stronger, quicker. IMO he would serve the two spot better than the one.
