  1. Congratulations to the Birds. They played a great second half. Camels with a first year QB. So I have to give him a bit of a break, as well as the Birds QB. He had a pick, and a few poor throws. Both will be fine I believe. IMO, Camels QB needs to work on vision, and where his vision is directed. I could tell where he was going with his passes from high in the stands..... However, Camels have to quit carrying the ball in one arm while there are three or four guys trying to strip the ball. Even after the fumbles, I still saw one armed ball carries. Unexcusable in my opinion.

  2. Congratulations, to McCracken, and good luck moving ahead in the tournament. Mustangs have a very nice team. Camels pitching struggled finding the strike zone in Titantic proportions, along with some timely hitting. I lost count of the walks issued by the Camels. Can’t give a team like McCracken that kind of an edge. Congratulations to the Camels on a nice season.

  3. The intentional delay theories seem to have lost their validity, with Werrman not taking the mound Friday, or Saturday. The field was either to wet, or rain was on the way. I'm quite confident, Montgomery County didn't want to get in a rain out situation and have to travel to Alexandria two days in a row, even though that's what eventually happened. There was a monsoon at the school Friday which caused the postponement in the second inning. I live two miles from the school, I came home and mowed grass after the championship game postponement, as I didn't get a drop at my house. Hoeh, and Brooks combine for the shut out in the 10th Region Championship Game.

  4. It’s not in Florence, but, Willy’s Diner in Mayslick. When you stop at the stop sign in Mayslick, you’re sitting right in front of the place. Food is good, but make sure you leave room for dessert. Homemade pies and cakes. We drive down from Alexandria just for dessert sometimes. She posts daily specials, and desserts of the day, on her Facebook page.

  5. Campbell County avoided Greenup, McCracken, West Jessamine and lost to St.X's #3 pitcher. As far as Scott goes, which D1 pitchers did they face? I seen where they faced one that's at Kentucky Wesleyan and one plays at Wabash Valley. Might want to get facts straight before trying to prove someone wrong.

Camels did lose to St. X, 1-0. I’ll take your word that their pitcher was their number 3. However, St. X only mustarded up 1 run on the Camels number 2, and that was a homerun....... So are you saying that St. X wouldn’t have deserved to be in the championship game if they, and the Camels had switched places in the brackets? Just because the Camels may have had an easier path to the finals, doesn’t mean they didn’t deserve to be there. The 2016 Camels team was a very talented group.

  6. There were 7 from Alexandria drawn. 5 cow archery, 1 cow fire arm, and 1 bull fire arm. So my little town is well represented.............Hunters from, Washington State, Utah, Texas, Florida, Mississippi, Tennessee, West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, New York, Alabama, Wisconsin, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, Louisiana, and Pennsylvania had tags drawn.

  7. Here's what I got......

    Not Selected for Elk Quota

We are sorry, but you were not selected for the Elk Quota hunt this season. Although you were not drawn this year, we appreciate your participation, which helps to fund the Kentucky Elk Management and Research Program. This funding helps to ensure a quality elk herd that provides hunting and recreational opportunities related to elk in Kentucky. Please re-apply for next year’s Elk Quota Hunt Drawing. Until then, we wish you the very best with your outdoor pursuits!

  8. Camels with a nice win over the Birds. Werrmann got the start for the Camels, Hoeh came in to finish it up. Hoeh goes yard as well....... Birds were held to 2 hits, while the Camels put together 6 hits....... Rom went the distance I believe, for the birds.

MLB Scouts on hand for this one.
