Woody Crum and Teence Ryan were great coaches.

Wow i thought Tyler Clark would for sure be somewhere in consideration.
Go back and read--I mentioned Tyler Clark.

Have to agree that BB will have their hands full in this great first round matchup. Montgomery's 12-1 with the only blemish on their record a 3 point loss to Clark, who should be a top 15 team in the state!! This game would appear to be worthy of a Friday night matchup at least??
Clark only had out their 1st, 2nd and 4th leading scorer out when they played Montgomery Co and Montgomery had their big boy out. Thats about 50 points for Clark and about 15 for Montgomery.

Hey Big Bopper, care to give us a list for Tollesboro, I am kinda unfamiliar with the older players. But I would say some possibles would be Chris Harrison, Scott Osborne, Joe Bane, Kirk Ruggles, and Mike Thoroughman? What's some other opinions?
Slick--those 5 sound good to me:thumb:

Not everyone, they have had some good players, with big numbers and contributions, lately. Both Clark and Billy Howell were 16th region P.O.Y. When did the guys on your list play, I know Bloomfield in the 70's and I think Ralphie Davis was late 50's, never heard of Shunway.
Please don't take this wrong way, just curious, its obvious your older than me and have seen players I have not.
Big Stick--Billy Howell could have made a good college basketball player if he would have had the heart and desire to do so, but he didn't.Howard Shumate didn't graduate from Lewis Co but moved to Ohio and played there and went to Morehead and played there in the late 40's. Tracy Shunway played in the early 50's and his dad was a preacher and I don't believe he played all 4 years but I'm pretty sure he did graduate from Lewis Co. By the way , it's sad, but I am getting to be an old dude. I sure enjoy this site, very interesting.:thumb:

Hey Big Bopper how come you don't have any players from the last 20 years on your lists? Also, what about David Gaunce(sp?) on your Lewis Co. team, I heard he could really play.
Gaunce was a good ball player and in the past years, Tyler Clark. 3 of those 5 I first mentioned were division 1 players and Shunway was a pure shooter and Bloomfield was a winner. Sorry I didn't mention everyone that played.

Who in the world would know how good the freshmen are state wide.We only mention the kids from our area not knowing anything about other areas of the state. It seems that most topics on this site is about the 10th and 16th and a few from the 15th region.Do others see it this way or is it just me.:thumb:

Without a doubt, Mason CO will be the team to beat in 2007-2008. They will be 10-20 points better than anyone else in the 10th region. By the way , I'm not even a Mason Co fan , that is unless they go to the state tournament and then I'll be for any 10th region team.:flame:

OOps. I meant to post this here. I'd put Cere Myrick on the list somewhere too.
As I mentioned , I could add 7-10 other players from Maysville that could be on that list. Cyre Myrick sure is one of those.

CUBSTER-You ought to get you a job with the Lex Herald--you do a much better job than they do.:dancingpa

Good game by the Royals and I'd like to give some credit to Coach Webb and the Comets who gave a fine effort the entire game. Rayburn for the Comets is a good shooter and I'd guess that somewhere along the line this season, he'll sink someone from behind the arc.
As for the Royals, they pushed the tempo all night. Fine game out of all of them. I'd also like to give Nate Quackenbush a bit of overdue credit. This kid is gonna turn out to be a force. He is athletic and very long. He often was a foot above everyone else to grab a rebound. And he has a bit of time to develop his skills into what I'd guess will be a force in this region when it's all said and done.
I'd like to say also that it was a pleasure to meet LRCW finally. Hope you can come again to the Stew and join us. BTW, did you really think you'd get anything out of Richardp?
And lastly, my take on the referree in question. After the game, I went back toward the officials dressing room and barely got out of the hallway. My shoes were literally stuck to the floor in the puddle of overspray of Paul Mitchell hairspray and as I finally got loose, I could have sworn there were pucker marks on the mirror in there. There was a bumper sticker on his car when he departed that stated "I love me some me!"
that kid catching all those fish has really grown, :flame: I'd bet he's big enough to play basketball by now.

G.R.C. has beaten several teams in the top 20 and they're not even rated. I think a lot of thes ratings are based on what went on last year' season and not what's going on now.

Rose Hill and Russell are the teams to beat in the 16th.:fight:

Owens--Sure a family of good ball players.I don't live in Mason Co ,but have really enjoyed watching all of them play ball. Chris ,best of luck the rest of the year .
