I was not there, but i called a friend who was and this is what she said: First game was Morgan County and Lee county. Morgan won. Second game was Menifee and Bath with Menifee winning. Third game was Bath and Lee, Bath won and the final game was Menifee and Morgan. Menifee won by 3 I was told. Again this is second hand information.

I got an email today saying there would be a summer league at Menifee County gym tonight, the 11th, and the 18. I read that supposedly Morgan County, Bath County, Lee County and Menifee are participating. I think starts at 5.

Hey someone rate the coaches in the 16th this coming year. Try to make a complete list. All sixteen teams.

I agree with Vanderhoof and Eagle from Morgan County is a great player. But also Williams from Menifee County is only a junior and a great player.

You are right scooter. Raceland, Rose Hill and Elliott are in the bracket together. And Menifee, Fairview and Bath is in the other bracket. The host school gets one of the byes so Bath County got it.

Actually the tournament is at Bath county next year.

From the looks of the pairings it looks as if it could very well be Elliott County playing Menifee County in the region championship of the All A. Menifee has to play Fairview with the winner moving on to play Bath in the semis. Elliott just got better as the year went along last year. And when these Elliott played Menifee last year in the All A it was the best game of the tourney. Fairview continues to improve they could sneak in and steal it. All three of the mentioned teams have coaches starting their second year at their respective schools and all three seem to be doing ok. What is your all's opinions?

I agree with you scooter, for the first time in a while, I don't think that any regional winner next from the 16th, whoever it may be will have a legitimate shot at a state title. But like you said the fans will be happy knowing that some other schools may have a shot to make it to state. Elaborate a little on who some of the teams are you think may "lead the way".

And also, we all know the story of the Faulkners and Russell and Rose Hill. Isn't it starting to get old? I mean they chose to move, and if you ask me obviously it was the best decision. Congratulations on much success to Rose Hill the last two seasons. They represented our region well. But if you look back at all the posts about the 16th, the smaller schools never get mentioned because we always gravitate to bashing Rose Hill. Lets move on. And I'm not a huge fan of the attitudes that some of the players showed during the state tourney, and i thought the coach didnt control her players, but I was happy for the team on their success. But this thread is about the whole 16th region. I think im not the only one, but I would love to hear about some of the teams that we dont always get to read about because they don't have all the success of a Rose Hill or Russell. Ok i'll get off my soap box now.

Elliott seemed to really improve over last year. They made an excellent appearance in the All A and got stronger all year long. So what about those teams? I know Menifee beat Elliott, Bath beat Menifee early on, and I guess I'm more along the lines of the All A, but how do these smaller teams fare next year? Strengths or weaknesses? All A seems to be wide open in the 16th. How do you all see it playing out?

Whats in the water over in Frenchburg? Noone wants to stay or what?

Hey just interested in what we think the 16th region will be like next year. I have heard some of the traditional powerhouses will be considerably down next year. And who will be taking their spots at the top? And who will be the surprise teams next year? Any and all opinions appreciated.

I was at the game and I would think Fleming must have been disappointed with their effort. They could not score. Give credit to Bath Co. Good gameplan by Coach McNabb. His seniors really stepped up. Wright and Hurst played really well and lead the team. Bath will have a hard time replacing them.

I know of at least 2 regional tournaments held at the Field House where people were turned away. There are always going to be more people wanting to watch than the gym will hold. Especially for region championships. So if you are worried about driving to Montgomery County and getting turned away think about the people that got turned away at Mason County. It works both ways.

Congrats to Elliott County. Lawrence County is having a pretty good season and playing well. Good win for Elliott. They are really improving.

Great rematch of the all A game. Both teams really played hard.

after what they did to russell, the number one team in the 16th, montgomery should win by at least 18-20, good luck to both teams.
