  1. It's played out in left field of the baseball park. It's in the middle of nowhere. From a fan stand point it's not intimidating, it's just a very poor place to play.

Sometimes the Little town and country serves a mean piece of home cookin pie. Frankfort be prepared. coach ponter will have them jacked and ready to go.

  2. What is not to love about Kentucky's tradition of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory? Generations of Big Blue Fiathful have been able to share in the collective pain of last minute losses to Flrida, LSU, and a variety of other upper crust SEC teams on the gridiron. :thumb: In all honestly my favorite traditions are with Notre Dame. The walk to the stadium with the throngs of fans, Touchdown Jesus, the legendary ghosts the inhabit the hallowed ground in South Bend. Gives me chills and I am not even a big Notre Dame fan.

UK Tailgating is pretty awesome. You would think that they were good the way they party at Commonwealth. Maybe they party and enjoy before the game so much because there is nothing to enjoy during the game.

Also the Biggest Cocktail Party in Jacksonville, Dawgs vs. Gators, is pretty darn awesome. Been there and it was amazing.

  3. Card March at the Pizza Box! :ylsuper:  :ylsuper:

I attended UL in the early 90's when football was much different there. I had the opportunity to attend the Homecoming game and go the Card March. Football is a whole new world there now. I think this is quickly becoming one of the best "new" traditions in College Football.

  4. Takes on the top five players in your respective region? for Region 2, Class A I would have to go with:

    1. EJ Fields-Frankfort High

    2. Billy Jackson-Bethlehem

    3. Kelvin Scott-Bardstown

    4. tie: Antoine Robinson-Frankfort and Gerald Hughes-Danville

    5. tie: David Bird-Trimble Co. and BJ Strode-Danville

All kids coming from great programs. I agree with your list. Although a little prejudiced, Seth Hill, Keith Welch and Daniel Rose aren't far from that list. They have had a tough season at Carroll this year, but these boys have had a good year in spite of record.

  5. Carroll County wins by 4, setting up a probable rematch with Frankfort in round 1 of the District playoffs..Owen sits it out this year-the way some have described the 1st matchup between the two Panther teams, I wonder how it will play out having to be played in Frankfort(if all of the rumors were true about coaches/players, arguing, thumbtacks, tables, ladders and chairs, run ins by other wrestlers, etc).....you get my drift :)

Awesome post!! I agree. Hopefully no ladder matches.

  6. I've noticed this throughout high school football. I think you could have a great deal of success running slants, but it seems like coaches only want to throw it deep (with limited success), or keep it on the ground.

AMEN BROTHER! kEEP THE CHAINS MOVIN! Frankfort looked like wild crazed dogs last nite! Danville looked like scared pups after the score by frankfort early in the 3rd. 2 int's later, ballgame! Antoine Robinson is a leg churnin non stoppin force to be reckoned with. Shame he is 5' 6" or so. Mini Earl Campbell for all you old timers and history buffs. DON'T RELAX FRANKFORT! STILL A LONG WAY TILL YOU GET TO THE BIG PIZZA PARLOR in the VILLE!

amen brother! Caught the second half of this one. Whe not what I expected. Frankfort wanted it more plain and simple! Flyin around like crazed dogs on D. Ads remember you are the hunted, everyone is gunning for you! Antoine Robinson, it is a shame this kid is only 5'6' 5'8". You could make a video titled " how to run tough", never stops churning. For you oldtimers, he is a mini Earl Campbell. Congrats Frankfort, DO NOT RELAX! LONG WAY TO GO to GET to the PIZZA PARLOR!

  8. Though most of you who participate in this forum don't consider Carroll County as N.Ky. and Louisville doesn't claim us either. The Welch kid from Carroll has had a nice year at db, while also playing both ways at Qb and at times running for his life. Has only given up 6-7 receptions, all but one of those coming from the #1 and #6 teams in A ball. Thanks for the thread! DB the most vulnerable position on defense!

  9. Just to clear a few things up since it appears that I started this firestorm.

    1. I saw an assistant coach get into a verbal confrontation with a carroll county player after FHS scored and prior to a 2 point conversion. Understandably so, the player was very frustrated and should not have engaged the coach.

    2. The calls I was speaking about were illegal shifts, pass interferance and whether or not a pass was completed or not.

For the record, I do not believe that CC had any personal fouls or unsportsmanlike conducts called by the officials. As I was not personally out on the field playing, I do not know what was missed or should have been called. I never had any intention of saying that a coach cannot or should not be out there to protect his players.

As for the accusations of tacks and kicking, hopefully this forum will inform the coaching staff a check needs to put into place for these things specifically. CC players reading this, please know this is not the way to win or compete. Not saying that it was done, but let's put ourselves in a light to win and lose with class.

Please let this put an end to the "dirty" accusations and such and let both teams focus on their next opponent.

  10. Where are all the BGPER's that have said we are getting better?

How many times can Brooks and his staff not have his team ready to play?

How does Indiana beat a Top 20 team? Vandy?

This staff has got to go even if they win 6.

What more does Mitch have to see? He blew it with the worst hire in history of college FB accept it and fix it.

I think mitch needs to go with them.

  11. I was on the sidelines for the carroll danville game and the carroll frankfort game. During the danville game, I never saw the coaching staff of daville engage with carroll county players on the field like frankfort did. Danville won with class and pride. I can't say the same of frankfort. They won by a significant margin and when up 30+ points the coaches were still working the refs and arguing back and forth with a carroll county player on the field. The carroll county player should not have engaged the coaching staff either, but, come on, who is the adult out there?

Danville was mindful and respectful to the kids out there that played their hearts out and still got beat. They tried to find positives in what might not be considered a very positive year this year for carroll county. We will be at the frankfort danville game, definitely on the side of Danville. Go Ads!!

  12. As a Carroll County fan, it is one thing to predict how things will turn out and discuss the skills and abilities of a team as a whole, but it is an entirely another thing to personally insult children. Please lets not stoop to this level. We should be supportive of our team and not destructive to another.
