  1. I think NCC in two. Ryle just beat a tough HC team in 3 last week. Earlier in the season, HC should have beat NCC on NCC's home floor. They were up 5 in the first game and lost, then down 7 in the secong and won and lost the third 25-23. I fell that any of the top teams in NKY can beat each other on any night, but I do look for NCC to win this one. Good luck to both teams!

  2. Dayton wins. As far as you talking about the Beechwood game, Look at how well you faired against NCC. Case closed. Dayton wins by 14 or more. If you are always playing poor teams and winning with the exception of NCC, I don't think that speaks highly for you being a good team. It says to me that you have inflated numbers. Go play someone and win and then you can start talking as if you are some great team, which I have yet to see from you all. The NCC game says it all.

  3. I say that Dayton pulls this one out with not much of a problem. They have played much better caliber teams than Bellevue and Bellevue's satrters have yet to have played a full game except in the NCC game where they got destroyed. I know this is a rival, but this year, Dayton means business and Bellevue is just another foe in the road on their way to a great season.

  4. I don't know that St. Henry is down as much as it was that HC played great. It looked as if St. Henry was completely in shock.

On a side note, I would like to add how great of a game the setter for HC had. I think her name is Verville but I'm not positive. She runs all over the court! She gets to alot of passes that most setters would need to call help for. She also had a HUGE block early in game 1. She is definitely one of the best setters in the state! She has great instints at the net, spreads the ball around, gets it to # 14 when they need a big kill, and is a great defensive player as well. Not taking anything away from anyone else on HC team, but the offense runs through the setter and the girl is doing an excellent job! Good luck the rest of the season.

  5. If they continue to play the way they played last night, I would find it hard for anyone in NKY to beat them besides maybe Notre Dame. I know they have had a few losses to other NKY teams this year, but they seem to be on track now. They finally quit messing around with the line-up and that has seemed to fix the mistakes they were making early on in the season as well as at the Louisville Inv. Great win Indians!

  6. I agree that Newport beats Lloyd and BigMac has it right about the playoffs. As long as Newport and Mercer Co. Win on Friday which I would be shocked if they don't, then the first round of playoffs would be Lloyd at Mercer Co and Spencer Co at Newport.

  7. As long as Newport wins on Friday against Lloyd, the district would end up like this:

    1st - Mercer Co.

    2nd - Newport

    3rd - Spencer

    4th - Lloyd

So the first week of playoffs would be:

    Lloyd at Mercer Co.

    Spencer Co. at Newport.

This looks like it will be the case and then Newport will be able to avenge their regular season loss to Spencer Co and put up a big number on them. I think the Wildcats looked past Spencer Co. in the regualr season, but rest a sure they won't make the same mistake twice.

  8. Newport struggled on offense... there's no doubt about that. the recievers are starting to come around. the tight end for newport caught the touchdown pass from hesch so you can't say newport has no recievers. spencer county just wanted it more... they came to play, newport didn't... but there is no way spencer is better than newport... spencer is good, but they have a lot of heart, that is why they won...
