NewCath and it won't be close. They just have HC's number.

I am takeing my Panthers in a classic battle
Panthers 28
Bellevue 16
The hay is in the barn now, just a few hours.
-
You are correct!
That was one heck of a Frankfort team too, even though they lost their stars early that year there was still plenty of speed and they played disciplined football. That was a great game by both teams. Frankfort almost did it at the end but Bellevue hung on just long enough to escape.
-
No shock here. Good luck in the future coach!
-
That was a good game, but in 2009 Frankfort did not have 4 starters playing that night and Quan Weaver was one of them. I think Frankfort wins this one by a close margin.
They didn't play the whole season. It wasn't like they just missed that one game. Plus Frankfort was a very good team with out them so arguing that those guys didn't play in that game is irrelevant.

Yea, they want to keep Beechwood under 60. Come on, lets get real here, there is no way on "Gods green earth" Ludlow or Bellevue beats Beechwood. I liken it to the definition of SILLINESS: Exhibiting a lack of wisdom or good sense; foolish.
And here comes the belittling of kids.

Frankfort Panthers
Last Week: defeated Dayton 49-0
All-Time Second Round Record: 3-4
Bellevue Tigers
Last Week: defeated Bracken County 53-6
All-Time Second Round Record: 3-9
**Second round began in 1991**
Past Playoff Meetings
1977 - Bellevue 21 Frankfort 0
2009 - Bellevue 29 Frankfort 26
That 1977 game brought Bellevue their first state championship. I look for the tigers to move to 3-0 all time against the panthers,
Bellevue 18
Frankfort 14

The tigers need to control the clock and the ball. Frankfort definitely has the speed advantage but they did two years ago and Bellevue managed to come out of there with a victory. Should be a good one.

Can we get a poll please?
-
Thoughts on this one? Interesting match up as the tigers travel to the capital.
-
When it comes to never was Eddie Bane from Holmes in the late 90's was a guy who had a lot of looks that never got to play in college.
-
We heard talk last year that Coach Thompson from Boone might be in his last season?
Will he return? Is Ryle a must win?
If he doesn't beat Ryle I believe he is done. If he gets blown out, I think you can almost guarantee he will be gone. On the flip side a big win could go a long way for him considering this isn't the most talented of Boone teams.
-
Good job tigers! Some people thought this was a potential upset but the tigers came out and proved they are still very tough.
-
If we are talking big time then its a short list:
Hornung
Alexander
Pinner
Collins
Bush
Best there never was
Casey 1st team all USA TODAY. Peterson was the other back.
Casey ran like a freight train, tremendous speed and size.
Never played a down of college ball
Why did he not play in college?
-
I might catch some heat for this but I'll say it, when it comes to small ball Ricky Buckler was pretty dominant.
-
Just curious what makes you think this will happen based on schedules and performance this season?
I agree with you I am curious as well, I know bracken is much improved but what makes you think they can beat a pretty good Bellevue team on the road? I don't see this one being close let alone Bracken winning.
-
Why do you say that? Just curious.
I remember when I played down at Frankfort there were a lot of issues with their fans being less than welcoming to our fans as well as the field being full of holes and just not very well taken care of.
-
Tigers will be too much.
Bellevue 33
Bracken 13
-
Who played well for the tigers in this one?
-
Well I called a two point tiger victory. Way to go tigers!
-
I'm going with the tigers

This is Coach Rice's third year right? How did they do the year before he got there? If I remember correctly it wasn't very good. I bet if you asked anyone after last year if the program was better than what it was before he took over they would say it was better. So yes the argument for this year about how they barely returned any starters is a good argument. They returned two starters on both sides of the ball, and still was able to get to the same record as last year. Now if they returned most of the starters from last years team, and still finished with the same record, then you would have a point. If they had most of the guys back, then finishing .500 would not have been good. However they did not return all of the kids from last year, they had a bunch of new inexperienced kids and still was able to do the same as last year. Which most people after last year ended would not have thought they would have been able to do that this year. If they had returned most and still only were .500 then I could understand people saying he should be on the hot seat. However it is far to early to be saying that. Especially a year after losing basically all your starters.
So they weren't good before he got there and their still not good, but his not good is okay? Thats what your saying correct?
-
Tranfers who never played varsity football. Also 3 starters returned on the offensive line? Please tell me who, because only one starter is back from last year. As for the receivers only one receiver started last year and that was Washington, all the other ones who started last year are gone. The starting running back from last year is also gone, #9 didn't play much offense last year. So how about you get your facts straight next time because apparently your pretty wrong on your so called facts.
You're argument about losing from last years team isn't a very good one because Newport wasn't very good last year either. Or for the past several years to be honest.
