  1. It seems to me that Frankfort fans just like to complain about everything, win or lose. I mean come on, thumbtacks in kids gloves  are you kidding me? Then Frankfort fans complain about the field conditions at Trimble. These complaints were still made after Frankfort came away with a W, I would hate to see the fans when Frankfort does lose!

  2. I think it depends on which team shows up. At the prev meeting, it was a pretty evenly matched game early on and then a few mental mistakes by carroll co and then it was all frankfort. Hope they come to play and not expecting to lose.

I will agree with this. Carroll capatilized on some Frankfort mistakes and made good plays off of them like the TD to start the 2nd half. If Carroll does not have any mental breakdowns, I think Carroll good give Frankfort a good game, but at the same time Frankfort has good athletes Carroll must stop in order to win the game.

  3. This is who I have winning each region:

    1st: Marshall Co.

    2nd: University Heights

    3rd: Meade Co.

    4th: Warren Central

    5th: E-Town

    6th: Doss

    7th: Male

    8th: Shelby Co.

    9th: Holmes

    10th: Mason Co.

    11th: Scott Co.

    12th: McCreary Central

    13th: South Laurel

    14th: Hazard

    15th: Paintsville

    16th: Ashland

    State Tourney Predictions:

    1. Scott Co

    2. University Heights

    3. Mason Co.

    4. Doss

    5. South Laurel

I believe that Simon Kenton will take the 8th instead of Shelby. Sk has some food returning players and Shelby lost Slaughter so Im going to say that SK will win the 8th instead of Shelby, but thats my opinion.

  4. ALMOST everyone here has chose Frankfort by a big margin and I believe that is what happened when Danville played Frankfort. Everyone thought that Danville would blow Frankfort out but it turned out to be different with Frankfort winning, so im going to go out on a limb here and keep it close:

    Frankfort: 35

    Trimble: 28

  5. Mercer has over 600 yards rushing:scared: , and a running clock in the last 4 minutes of the game.

    Any doubters now?

Never doubted Mercer. I knew that when I heard Harrodsburg was consolidating with Mercer, that Mercer would have a tremendous team. Congrats to the Titans on their season and good luck to them as they get close to the post season! :thumb:

  6. The NCKC consists of Trimble, Carroll, Owen, Henry, and Gallatin.

Trimble is 3-1 with no one left to play.

Carroll is 1-2 with Owen left to play

Henry is 2-1 with no one left to play

Owen is 1-2 with Carroll left to play

Gallatin is 0-3 with no one left to play.

When I do math 75% is better than 67%. Which makes Trimble # 1. If you think Gallatin is out , and they are in, you can not be in the NCKC and just chose the sports you want to play. Then Henry, Trimble, and Carroll are tied and we will use the KHSAA tie breaker and Trimble stilll wins. If you the BCS system Trimble is highest in the Lit ratings. Anyway you cut it Trimble is the best teanm in the NCKC this year.

Gallatin is not in the NCKC this year with it being an innaugural varisty year for the Wildcats. This means the NCKC consist of Trimble, Henry, Carroll, and Owen counties. To win the NCKC you must have the best record containing the NCKC teams. This means the standings as of right now in the NCKC are:

    Trimble: 2-1

    Carroll: 1-1

    Henry: 2-1

    Owen: 0-2

So after that if Carroll beats Owen next week, the NCKC Champions would be a 3-way tie between Trimble, Henry, and Carroll with all suffering 1 loss.

  8. Here's 10 Players, in Senior and Junior class....NO order, just listing names.

    Seniors (I believe)

    E'Town - Pettigrew

    Scott County - Rodney Haddix

    South Laurel - Ty Proffitt

    Male - Doug Beaumont

    MMI - Matt Morgan

    Shelby County - Eugene Wade

    Ballard - Anitquan Beckham

    J'Town - Thomas Coleman

    Bryan Station - Jaren Jones

    Holmes - Durann Jefferson

    Central Hardin - Andre Miller

    Juniors (I believe)

    Mason County - Darius Miller

    Scott County - Bud Mackey

    Madison Central - Aaron Morris

    Apollo - Tyler Brown

PRP - "small Guard, can't remember name"

    Bryan Station - Sheldon Mack

    Paintsville - Landon Slone

Lexington Catholic - Stewart (can't remember first name)

Doss - Brooks (can't remember first name)

    Adair County - Darren Ballou

(I have seen many, but not all play. My opinions and information from others, articles and camps. Forgive me for misspellings)

That is a pretty decent list also. I would take Wade from Shelby County out though. I think he is good, but not good enough for top 10 in the state.

  9. I will have to take your word on that. Is there not a tie-breaker, then? Also, can schools choose not to participate in the football portion, even though they have a team, and still be a member in, say basketball, baseball, softball? It is understandable for Gallatin, being a first year team (though hats off to them for such a good showing this year!) but Eminence has had an established football team for years. I guess what I am asking is, can you pick and choose which sports you want to participate in for the NCKC?

I know that there was discussion several years ago when the Trimble softball coach did not want to play some of the NCKC schools twice, that it would jeopardize the school's membership in the NCKC.

Regardless, good luck to Coach Poynter and the Raiders tonight!:thumb:

I do not believe there is a tie-breaker. I think if Trimble and Carroll beat Owen it will be Co-Champions bewteen TC, CC, and HC. I am not sure about the choosing to be in the NCKC or not.

  10. Trimble has lost only to Henry (man should have won that one! too bad you can't go back in time!).

Owen has lost only to Henry, but still has to play Carroll.

Henry lost to Eminence and Carroll.

Carroll lost to Gallatin and Trimble, must still play Owen.

Gallatin lost to Trimble and Owen.

Eminence beat Henry, lost to Trimble, didn't play any of the others, I assume due to their "8 man" schedule. Not sure how that figures in.

Henry and Gallatin did not play,so not exactly sure how that figures in, either.

Regardless, IF Trimble wins tonight, they are locked in as Champs, having lost the fewest games and played the most NCKC games. IF Owen wins tonight, each team has two losses, but Owen would have beat Trimble, so I assume that is the tie-breaker.

I am not actually in the "know", so I could be wrong on the specifics here, but what I do know is that Trimble must win the game to be NCKC champs.

I believe the NCKC only consist of Trimble, Henry, Carroll, and Owen counties. If Trimble beats Owen and Carroll beats Owen it will be a 3 way tie between Trimble, Henry, and Carroll for the NCKC Champs.

  11. Thanks for the compliment. I am sure that the coaches and players that read it would appreciate you noticing and commenting on their play. Better to bring people up then try to tear them down.

Exactly. Why would you want to tear people down, like Trimble, on a great season they are having. Maybe the schedule is a little weak but the Raiders have fought hard for the record they have. Once again congrats to Coach Poynter and the Raiders on a great season.:thumb:

  12. The main thing to come out of this is to have class when playing the game. Win or lose you must have class for the opponent. If a team does play dirty, you must not retaliate, if you do retaliate that means you are also playing dirty. Every team is after one thing in a game and that is a W. IMO if you play dirty to get a W you really have not won anything at all you ahve lost class for yourself, team, and program all around. Danville has proven this every game they play, thats why they have so many championships. They go out on the field to get a W, not hurt an opponent or argue with coaches, they play football. Every team should go out on the field to play football and play the game like it was meant to be played.

  13. Final...

Definitley not as close as most thought it would be...This may be the year Frankfort finally takes the district from Danville...:fire:

Frankfort is a tough team but so is Danville. It will definitely be a good game between the Ads and Panthers when they face each other. Good luck to both teams.
