  1. Sorry Preachit he didnt go last year because he worked the FIVE previous State Tourneys, including two finals in 05,06. The Khsaa likes to pass that honor around inside each region when possible. He has lost it in one year? Sounds like someones team got beat and we are a little upset about it!!!:ohbrother:

  2. Everyone gets to have there own opinion. But put some of these names on big games. District games or rivial games and lets talk after that. lets have the coaches have there say after that. IMO they may not be pleased in the way its worked.... also just wondering if Coldiron talks to much to coaches why do they continue to rate him so high. It seems to me he must being doing something right. Really does it matter though, I got it from good sources he is not long for the high school game. Good luck to him. He has done his region well in everyone big tourney he worked!!!:ylsuper:

  3. Please know your facts. The 8th region has been asked to switch with several regions in the recent past. But the coaches will not allow it. If you recall back, three maybe four years ago, a switch was made with the 7th. The coaches felt they did not receive in return the level of officiating they sent out. So they have for the last three years voted to stay in region. They feel like at least they have an idea how the game will be called with same guys they see all year..... As far as it depends on witch side you fall on didnt carroll get beat in the All A region tourney by Gallatin?:isurrender:

  4. That's a shame that they get pizza on Monday!!!! The JV team will not be there to enjoy it. They will be playing at Lewis County on Monday. I sure hope that you continue this for the boys that will be Seniors next year. I know they work hard to.

pizza on Monday is something the varsity players have earned and the varsity players are thankful for what doc and cathy do for them!! These players have earned the right to play and win on fri.!! I'm sure that if you would like to start buying pizza for the jv I'm sure that they will be more then happy to eat it!! What's a shame is that people can not appreciate what people are doing for this team and won't just say thank you!! Thank you doc!!

  5. One of the seniors is bringing his wii over to play games since the weather is getting colder. Some of the boys won't want to be outside playing corn hole. Corn hole and wii.......just don't sound right.:creepy:

I dont know Doc I happen to know these seniors play corn hole in the snow along with wii!!! ;) LoL I'm still suprised Cathy puts up with you guys! I say its a good time till Sammons shows up!:jump:

  6. I've learned that when I go to a game, I take everything that might be needed, and when it starts raining, I know that it might rain, and if it does not start raining, then it probably won't rain.

Forget the weather forecast, you could flip a coin and get the same odds.

Hey sidelinedoc do you keep all your rain gear in that bag of yours???

  7. I think Raceland will be better this year then last year if not better then the 2006 team. I think Raceland will have one the most dangerous offenses in the state. They have two outstanding running backs with Denton and Carver! The special teams and defense will be really good as well. Everything seems to be falling in place as well. From what I have heard so far they have had a great winter and making great gains in the weight room.

  8. You may be right, but, I still contend Hazard was considerably better than Raceland. You have to consider more than just Racelands close loss and the Hazard playoff loss.. Raceland also got blown out by LCA and Hazard also defeated LCA handily in the regular season.. Neither Racelands nor Hazards schedule would knock your socks off, but, in looking at both, I think they were about even and Hazard had the better record and was ranked considerably higher in every poll throughout the year, so, I'm not the only one who would feel that way. Since they didnt play each other, we'll never know for sure, but, imo, if they would have, I feel Hazard would have beat then by 2-3 TDs..

I will have to disagree with you there. Raceland played one hard schedule including Russell, Ashland (whose wins and loses might not show it but was a very good team who was quite bigger then them), and 3 other teams that were at least 2 classes bigger then them. As for Raceland's first lose to LCA they were missing 9 starters and were pretty much playing their JV team. I feel a 2-3 td win is very generous.

  9. I dont dispute the 3 teams you list from the east but Hazard actually split with LCA, went undefeated in regular season and to the semis.. They were clearly better than Raceland this year and have more coming back.. Yes, LCA beat them in the semis, but, through the season, had some less than stellar performances and just seemed to peak at the right time and they lose more than Hazard does...I think Hazard should be the favorite to come out of the east this year...LCA , a close 2nd and Raceland and Pikeville, a distant 3rd/4th ...

With all do respect Hazzard did have a quality ball club this year but i dont think you can say they were that much better then Raceland. Raceland lost by 2 points on a last second field goal and Hazzard lost by over 20 points. They did have a great regular season but going undefeated in the playoffs is the only thing that really matters.

  10. well I hope LCA wins this one but i dont know if they can. I think if LCA can hold on to the ball and are not afraid to get a little physical they could win this game. Hazzard is big and fast and they like to smack people around. If LCA smacks back it will be a game but if they lay down it will be the same story as last time.
