Would like to see Corbin, Shelby Valley or Elliott take the title.

Great game, tough goaltending call with a few seconds in regulation to give Hazard the lead, but Perry came right down and scored to force overtime, which could of been for the win, but.... Congrats to Hazard on a great game, good luck in the Sweet 16!

Must of found the whistles in the locker room at halftime. HAHA.

Lincoln County 2-9 free throws
McCreary 7-11 free throws
Just 20 free throws for a whole game? Only one of 3 things could of happened in this one: 1.Must of been a lot of shooting from the outside 2.not a whole lot of defense going on 3.the refs left their whistles in the locker room Sounds like it was a great atmosphere and game to be at. Congrats to McCreary, good luck tonight.

I will PM you...
As long as you are shooting it to everyone, what is the deal? Was a heck of a game from what I hear.

How many FT's did PCC miss? Heard that is what kept the game so tight.
I think they missed 7 in a row in regulation to help Knott stay close and then missed 4 more in Overtime. Quite different than how they shot them the other night against Hazard. I'm sure they were a little bit :scared:

Was a great atmosphere for a great game, but of course it could of been better if the game would of been held at a place where everyone that wanted to could of gotten in to the game. There were people that bought pre-sold tickets that couldn't even get in because it was full. If you can't handle the crowd, you shouldn't be able to host the region. I konw we have talked about this before, but they need to come up with something to take care of this problem. Congrats to the Commodores, great effort from the Patriots.

Looks like they are ready for the Letcher County team that is also playing well right now. Should be some good games in Stanton.
-
Just looked like he didn't care if he was there or not and the girls sure wasn't ready to play. Just really looked like they were ready for it to be over.
-
He went three consecutive years with Hager and Hilton at Belfry.
He sure don't have Hager and Hilton and he definitely is not at Belfry! Letcher can not beat Hazard! Their year was beating Knott County in the district finals, congrats on that, but that is as far as it goes for them.

Only time will tell! I'm sure a lot of the rumors will become reality as soon as these tourneys get over with and everyone needs something else to do.
-
Thanks for the pics, looks like a very nice place. A little empty, but it's the early rounds and girls, so I'm sure it will fill up a little better later this week!
-
He has a daughter getting ready to start high school and a son in the 5th grade, he has a lot of years left!
-
Does anyone have pictures of this arena? Have heard good things about it, just haven't had the chance to get a look at it!
-
I heard that Roy Bowling at North Laurel was retiring, who will be the top candate for the job?
Randy Napier, from Perry Central is first on their list, as stated above. He would do a nice job and bring his nice resume to London, along with all his District and Region Titles, and his 600+ wins.
-
I have heard Coach Rice may be on the way out!
-
I seriously doubt #1 will happen.
If you seriously doubt it, why was he being escorted around the facility during the ball game the other night by the Super Intendant? It's not like it was his first trip inside the place.
-
I believe that since KHSAA will now have football in Bowling Green, that the sponsors will pick up football and Girls Basketball can be easily moved and will be picked up by other sponsors where ever they decide to move it. If it's in the new N. Ky Arena, I think they can find enough sponsors to hold it.

It has been done for next year by order of the Hazard Board of Education to not play Basketball or Football. The Perry County Board went a step further and said that if they don't want to play in those two sports, they will not play them in anything. Perry/Hazard games will be a thing from the past for a while until the parents can grow up and start acting like civilized human beings. It's ridiculous that the parents are screwing up a good thing for these kids. This is one of the best rivalrys in the mountains if not the state and for the adults to be messing it up is awful. Just because the big wigs have their problems don't mean they have to throw their weight around and do something like this.
-
I agree that this was very poor sportsmanship, but it wasn't any worse than the girl from Hazard doing it the night before and nothing being done to her either! I'm sure that she was dealt with after the game!
-
That is exactly why it should be at Perry every year. Great parking and enough room for no split sessions. And it's right in the middle of the region too!j 1 hour to Jenkins and just over an hour to Estill. Other Regions do it, they should just make it mandatory that it's done this way.
-
No way that Billman should represent the 16th. Marla Gearhart is by far the best . Might as well send Walt Maynard or Carl McGlone.
She done the state finals in the girls last year and I'm sure will be doing the finals again this year. She is one of the best around.
-
And also won't usually call the game to see who their region may play in the next round! They do a nice job with keeping all of that conflict of interest in check. Can't wait to get to Rupp this year to see all the action.
