This game was not nearly as bad as the semi-final and championship games at the 2003 games in Stanton. Breathitt County really got the shaft (leading by as many as 21 points) in the semi-finals. Powell fans shouldn't be complaining at all. Of course they got what they deserved when Oldham County drilled them by 23 points at Rupp.

Wow!, you know an awful lot about Powell's 03 season. To let you know any team from the 14th would've got drilled by Oldham co. that year, they were a pretty tough team. Breathitt didnt get the shaft, they lost by 2 points, the game came down to freethrows, hows that getting the shaft. Powell also beat PCC twice that year, once at PCC. Don't think Powell cheated or got their way in the tourney, they had a good team. Also, not mentioning any names, but im pretty sure that JBS's assistant AD might have a little pull in the 14th with the refs. He might just be one him self.:thumb:

No, you shouldnt have to worry about parking. LCC to me has one of the best parking lots in the 14th, but it could get crowded right up around the gymnasium entrance area. Plenty places to park down along the football field and the back side of the school, parking shouldnt become a problem.

KCC shot lights out from behind the arc. Owsley had many turnovers which lead to easy buckets for KCC. Good game all-around for Knott co. better get prepared for Hazard on Monday. Hate to see Owsley's season end, but they really turned it up here lately and with the loss of only one senior (Trey Congleton) they should have a legit shot at the 56th next season. Hats off to Owsley on a great season finale.:thumb:

I was going with the Powell co. Pirates. NO fleming-neon doesnt exist anymore, but there are a few other teams under the Pirate name, such as Belfry and Berea.

The Owls are playing great as of late, probably put together there best two overall performances during the district tournament. This play will rollover into region play, but the Owls will fall short, giving KCC the greenlight to the quarterfinals. KCC by 10+.

I'll take Breathitt in this one, but it will be a barn burner. I don't think Buckhorn is actually 33 pts. better than PCC, off night. Breathitt has some weapons and they will be used come thursday. Breathitt wins this game, 5+.

This is much to big of a game for Big brother to give Little brother the ball. I dont see Clint getting many touches. IMO it will be the Clark Stepp show for JBS, which will be there down fall and could possibly lose the game for them. I like Powell in this game. Still don't see JBS being able to handle the experience and depth of Powell.

I really think the Breathitt Bobcats has a leg up on the teams they have been playing very well as of late,The game against Wolfe Co. show all US Breathitt Co. Fans that they can play TEAM Basketball,and have a shot at the Rupp Floor,Good Luck All The teams in 14th ,we are going ta have a Grand ole time watching the mountian teams play at RUPP!!!!

Breathitt might be playing good, but beating wolfe co. surely doesnt give them a leg up on anybody. I think atleast 6 of the final 8 could beat wolfe co. legitimately and not to be rude to wolfe but if you can't play TEAM basketball against them then you might reconsider your sport. Alot of teams have been playing well as of late...JMHO:D

:thumb: I agree 100%. Powell's shooters are the key to their success and with Romans in the middle they are very dangerous. I like Powell in this match-up, I think Powell's speed could run JBS out of the gym. It will be hard for Short and Collins to chase down those quick post men. JBS will have to light it up to beat Powell. I also like Powell in LCC's gym, i've seen them play there and they put up 103 points in the game i attended.

Perry will beat Estill, LCC will beat Wolfe, Powell will beat Breathitt, & Leslie will beat Knott. LCC over Perry. Powell over Leslie. LCC vs Powell in the final...
