ESPN Sure beats about eight minutes of sports at 11:20 every night. Man, how did we get by way back when?
-
There goes Dusty again playing his boys. Why won't he give Nix a chance for a week in left field and see what happens? Some of his moves are awful.
I do agree, Nix should get some more playing time. That said, not tonight. Duke is a pretty good lefty and in 5 AB's against lefties this year, Nix is 0-5 with four K's.

I won't be shocked if he ends up at NCC.:walk:
I would be. No national T.V. for Mr. Wall, are you kidding? The Coach at NCC is a friend of the family, in my opinion, Wall is only trying to help them get some exposure.

I'd say it goes more like this
35% Coach and system
30% History
35% Championship :thumb:

I'm sure that most have seen this, but I had not. Man, I really hope he comes to UK.
-
He didn't come right out and say the go on contact play was on, but he talked about what a great 1st game Rosales had, how impressive he had been in spring training and Louisville, and how he expected him to continue to play well. They also talked to Rosales after the game, and in the locker room. He would have mentioned it if he had made a baserunning mistake. You could also tell from just watching the game, and watching the reaction from the 3rd base coach during the play. The runner on 2nd was also breaking on contact on the play.
:thumb: Fair enough.

Because I sasw Dusty's comments after the game.
He said that?
-
I stated earlier that I am not a fan of the "run on contact" play.
I just don't see how the benefits outweigh the cons, there. Particularly when you have your leadoff player at the dish & #2 hitter on deck.
Anybody care to tell me why I'm wrong?
I agree with you 100%. Like I mentioned earlier, I just believe it was a case of a charged up rookie trying to make something happen.
-
I'll play Devils's advocate here. How do you guys know it was a play called from the dugout when it could have been Rosales just making the decision himself to go on contact and not paying attention to where it was hit?
Assuming I believe.
-
It had nothing to do with the basrunner. It's a play called from the dugout.
I wasn't in the dugout last night, so :idunno:
-
I didn't get to the see the game, so I have no idea of the play you're talking about.
I understand the go on contact theory, but I hate it.
Taveras should be able to get the ball to the right side in a situation like that.
I agree with your post. I just believe it was a case of a hyped up rookie trying to be aggresive in his first game. He will be ok imo.

When people observe Hunter Jones play baseball for the first time, they’re often left with one question. Why?
-
Pitching is why they lost, of the 7 runs, 4 or so were by walk or HBP. I find this to be a fair "excuse." It's ok though, in the regionals when Dixie sees one of CCH's best, I'm sure they'll get the job done.
It happens, part of the game.
-
You can't be much of one, or you would know the game better. Some of your post lately have been real head scratchers.

Congrats to this young man.
-
You really need to let it go. The go on contact play was on. You really need to learn more about the game.[/QUOTE]
He is young.
-
If and when he decides to name his top three, I believe it's UK, dUKe, and Kansas.
-
Yes. Can I say nothing on here any more as opinion or with some humor???
No, you cannot. When you speak, it has become the gospel.:notworthy: And I'm not blowing smoke, we listen when you speak.:thumb:

You're not a big baseball fan are you?
Not very knoledgeable is my conclusion.
-
I value a pile of manure more than I do Pete Rose. He's a lowlife, worthless leech on society. He's an embarrassment to the city of Cincinnati IMO.
And you have been one of the ones I have alaways enjoyed listening to, and reading. After this post, with all do respect, I have to delete you from here on out.

Sounds like his ACT is up 2 points to 17, which still isn't enough to get him by the clearinghouse. One more chance to take the test left...
I have no idea, what's he need 20, 21?
-
There will be alot of debate over this and overall no one will come to a final, clear conclusion.
It has to be Coach Krump from CovCath. He may have more talented players than most schools but he consistently gets results out of them and that is demonstrated by this impressive of streak of 22 or 23 seasons of 20 wins or more.
:thumb:Have to agree. Myerhoff would be my #2 choice.

Saw where Texas has canceled all athletic events due to the Swine Flu.
Just heard this, until May 11th.

From the list, Big Boy.
My favorite is Outback, man those are good.
