I think he was.

If were talking just a spot up shooting contest between the 2 it would be a classic.
-
Agreed, but at the same time, it's wide open too. Seems to me there are 5-7 teams that have a legitimate shot at winning it. Montgomery would probably be the slight favorite. Then you have Clark, Harrison, Bracken, Bourbon, and Brossart.
Having said that, the 40th district has historically dominated the 10th region. I believe I'm right in saying that over the last ten years, only one non-40th district team represented the 10th in the state tourney (Brossart). And if someone like Harrison, Bracken, or Brossart wants to win it, they'll likely have to beat one--if not two--of the 40th district's teams.
But it certainly was a big win for BC. Congrats to the ladies!
I'd agree with that.

Just got word, NO interviews this week!
Applications were sent to the HS today from the Board Office. Everything is in the hands of the principal now!
Here is hoping that the Site Based Council and the principal will get things going and set up the interviews. Interview and then hire, SOON!
Would that Campbell assistant be former Bracken grad, Brad Riley?
Nope...
-
Has anyone else inquired? A few buddies said something about a Campbell County assistant.
hmmm... I think I know who that would be. Gonna find out though.
-
I think this solidifies the fact the Lady Bears are a serious contender for a regional title.
-
I'd have to agree with Big Slick.
-
Anyone have a scouting report on the Bracken Co. 1st round opponent in the State Class A?
-
Bracken wins 7-1. Advances to the class a state tourney. Way to go Lady Bears !

Congrats Ladies!! Good luck at State!

My nephew said that he resigned last week after accepting the job in January. His name was Jones, don't know his first name but he resigned from Head Coach as well as his teaching position.
Position is posted on the KHSAA website as well.
Had not heard that... hey I sent you a PM.

As I have said before, if this a "within" hire it sets up a domino effect that could reach into the middle school grades. If Patrick gets it, who coaches varsity girls basketball? If Chad gets it,who coaches girls varsity softball?,because no way he can give both the attention they deserve by doing both, also what about 8th grade girls and boys basketball? Also, has a varsity football coach been hired, what about the football coaches for middle school?:popcorn::popcorn::popcorn:
A varsity coach was hired for FB but I can't remember the name. It's an intriguing situation to say the least.

Nothing has been decided one way or the other, TRUST ME! Are they leaning a certain way, from what I hear, YES! Also it is believed that everyone is not in agreement on the possible hire!
Those in charge of this process, as of right now, have to look within--that certainly limits the candidates! Does not mean they do not have viable candidates!
Is RuSerious possibly talking about Patrick Kelsch, current HC of the BC Lady Bears who lives in Augusta?
Nothing will be announced before the job has been posted for 30 days, it is just that simple!
Whether or not he's talking about Robin or Patrick my statement remains the same. No way. Patrick has built the girls program back on the verge of something special... and Robin is in administration at Augusta and I'll leave that
-
Any word on when this one will be played?
-
Bracken should have the edge, but it's not played on paper.
-
Not SURE... but I believe it was decided before it was posted... I don't know a name or havent heard anything, just my opinion.
-
Well please let us all know who will be the next coach at Bracken Co.. If it's not the Kelsch guy from AUGUSTA then who will it be.:ohbrother:
Please tell me this person is kidding...
-
His streak ended at 4. He gave up a hit tonight in a playoff game.
Right after he hit that kid in the face... I think it shook him up a bit. He ended up pitching 5 innings and gave up 5 runs and 3 hits. It was the final game of his High School career.

AA Hwy. East to KY 19.
Turn left on 19 it's about 3 miles to Augusta. At the bottom of the hill you will come to a stop sign. Go straight through the sign and continue on that street until the end. Turn right at the intersection, park will be 1/4 mile on your right.
-
Fairly sure he played Ball at Augusta when he was in Middle School. His mother also taught at Augusta.
I believe you would be correct here.
-
He might have been young and inexperienced but he won 9 games at Bracken County when they won 5 the year before.
You Bracken County people are full of false hope, you will never compete for anything just as you have the whole existence of Western Civilization. I know he was offered the job at my alma-mater Bellevue last year and wish he would have taken that.
Before you make statements like that you should actually look up facts. They won more this year simply because they had another year of expieience. Fite would have won more if he had stayed too.
-
Breeze is going to Pulaski County to be the assistant coach to Al Gover.
Thats what he should have been doing in the first place... too young an inexperienced to jump right into a varsity job.
-
that one got me.

The movies that made me cry:
Brian's Song
Glory
Rudy
Believe it or I shead a tear the other day when I found out my 4 year old grandson is playing t-ball this year.
Watch The Hank Gathers Story... cried like a girl.
