Corbin, South Laurel, Jtown, Iriquois, and a couple others. Very nice season no matter what happens from here. All the Colonel fans are very proud of you!

Just like to say, way to go Michael Crawford. He had his head busted open by an elbow, got bandaged up quickly, and returned to the floor to give his usual gutsy effort. Way to go Colonels!

Heartbreaker. Up by 1 in the final minute. Whitley lost by one point. Fall to 3 and 7 on the year. Whitley is improving each game, but they have played a very tough schedule. Keep playing hard guys!!

Kids who are top athletes and want to play for state championships are going to look to attend a school where they think that will happen. If a kid lives in a school district where the team rarely wins, it should be no surprise that they might to look to attend Highlands or a private school or even another good public school. Highlands is a great school and a great football program. So sure there are kids on the team that are out of their district. And let's not knock a good public school that is able to do the same thing the private schools do with players from out of district playing in their program.

Since the playoff system began 48 years ago, in 1959, the Birds have appeared in the championship game about every two years (23/48=48%), winning about every 3 years (17/48=35%). Not a bad run, winning a 3rd of the championships over almost 50 years.

I'll give Highlands the upper hand in this contest because they do have superior athlete's .Being able to pick and choose from all the athletes in northern kentucky helps.

Woodford Co wins by 17. Whitley defense giving up too many points. Long road trip and an emotional letdown after the dist championship game. I hope im wrong, but thats my prediction.

Perry Central's starting qb was out in this game, Colonels had over 300 yards of offense . Perry Central had 11 yards when I left late in 4th quarter.Whitley is in drivers seat for district crown.
