  1. Kids who are top athletes and want to play for state championships are going to look to attend a school where they think that will happen. If a kid lives in a school district where the team rarely wins, it should be no surprise that they might to look to attend Highlands or a private school or even another good public school. Highlands is a great school and a great football program. So sure there are kids on the team that are out of their district. And let's not knock a good public school that is able to do the same thing the private schools do with players from out of district playing in their program.

  2. Since the playoff system began 48 years ago, in 1959, the Birds have appeared in the championship game about every two years (23/48=48%), winning about every 3 years (17/48=35%). Not a bad run, winning a 3rd of the championships over almost 50 years.

     

    I'll give Highlands the upper hand in this contest because they do have superior athlete's .Being able to pick and choose from all the athletes in northern kentucky helps.
