  1. Coach's need to take some of the blame, but not always the team with the most talent wins. Take Hazard for the last 4 years. I mean one year they won the state All 'A' tournament and didn't even get out of the district. I know they played Perry Central that year, but I and most everyone else would agree that Hazard was at least 10 points better then them. By the way you say he has all this talent, which may be true, but you can't expect the Wolves to playing their best right now. Cody,Chris, and Landers have only played together now for about 5 games. It takes timing. Oh and by the way Coach Creech's team beat a team that was picked to beat the wolves by 17 points, and stop a 4 peat from happening in the All 'A' reigonal.

  2. That is ridiculous to set here and say that something is the coach's fault, typical fan talk. Why don't you look back at how many games Wolfe won before Coach Creech came there. He has taken them to a All 'A' reigonal final, won a district tournament, final four of the reigonal tournament, and had an 18 win season, plus a 14 win season last year. Why don't you point out another All 'A' team in the 14th that has done anything like this except Hazard. Why hasn't anyone been saying anything about the job at Hazard when was the last time they hadn't been to the reigonal tournament in 4 years. You fans kill me, as you all never look at anything but what have you done for me lately.

  3. Gilbert had 40 points and 14 rebounds, this was in about 26 minutes of play as he was in foul trouble with 3 fouls in the first half. Dixon is good and in my opinion the second best in the reigion, but to be honest I still this he is a step ahead of Dixon. And that is not taking anything away from Dixon, becuase he is a great kid and a player.

  4. Gilbert had another good game tonight with 40 points and 14 boards. I'm tell the people out there though that whis Wolfe team can be a reigonal contender if they pull it together and start believing. They have a great coach and great nucleus of talent around them, they just have to figure that out and believe that they are a good team, because they are. I would not be surprised at all to see them playing for it all in the reigion, but that is totally left up to them and how they want to play. Watching them is like trying to put a puzzle together, the pieces are there, they just need to put them together and get the finished product. By the way Gilbert is the best player in this reigion, and I will say this Dixon is the second best I have watched, very strong and athletic.

  5. If he is just taking 10-12 shots a game and averaging 17 points a game then he should be leading the state in field goal percentage. Something don't sound right here. Perry is right now the best team in it, but that doesn't mean they have the best player in the nation. Take the state tournament two years ago, Lofton was the best player in the state but that didn't mean his team won the state tournament did it. And he to averaged around 25 shots a game.

  6. I have to believe if he continues to put the numbers up he has been then he will get recognized no matter where he is from. Take Brandon Stockton, and Josh Carrier neither ever made it to the state tournament. While I would agree that a kid playing for a Lexington school would probably get noticed more, I still do believe that no matter where you play if you are good enough then college coaches will take notice. I am sure Coach Creech is doing everything he can to get his name out there to all of the D1 coaches. I for one have enjoyed watching Cody the three or four times I have seen him play and hope that he will get that offer that he wants and desreves.

  7. I believe there is usually 3 to 5 kids in the mountains(12th,13th,14th,15th,16th) that could play for a school like Morehead or Eastern. The last time I checked those teams except for last year have been not been winning to many games, so why not recruit the kids from the area who are passionate about playing for those type of University's. Recruiting these type of kids would also put fans in the stands and help give the games a better atmosphere.

  8. As well I do, but you must also realize that Gilbert is a totally different player then he was last year. I mean come on he had 42 one game and in the 30's the other. He has scored in the 40's 4 times this year, with only scoring less then 20 one time, and that was against Knott County. If we was basing things on last year, then you really wouldn't think Lee County was the best team in the reigon either now would you. Again do you still think he is not the best player in the reigon. He is 2nd in scoring, 4th or 5th in rebounds in the state. Now tell me one other kid in our region or for that matter east of Lexington putting up those kind of numbers.

  9. Im glad someone finally gives some respect when it is do. And thank you for your support, and I'm sure most Wolfe County fans hope nothing but the best for Lee County as well unless they are playing the Wolves. One question though. What is the situation you are talking about? Good Luck to you all in the All "A" state and hope you all go all the way.

  10. I really Feel like right now that there are 11 teams in the 14th that can win it on any given night. Perry, Lee, Hazard, Leslie, Wolfe, Estill, June Buchanan, Jackson City, Buckhorn,Letcher Central, and Knott Central. With a few teams such as Cordia and Owsley County that on any given night can beat anyone. I really believe who wins this reigon will soely be based on who they are matched up with. Here is a thought for you to think about, tell me one easy game that there will be in this years reigonal tournament. All 8 teams in this years reigonal tournament will be evenly matched.

  11. Gilbert is a legitamite 6'4 player. And the comment about him not being quick enough, isn't that the job of the college coach to make him quicker. Also I remember you Professor saying that you thought Gilbert was about the 3 or maybe even 4th best player, do you still have that assumption. Gilbert is definately D1 material, maybe not the Kentucky and Duke of the worlds, but definately Eastern,Western, and Marshall type schools. Let me ask this who are you comparing him to when saying that you don't think he is D1 material.
