  1. There you go! All of those weights listed on here that weren't done at one of these meets were not done properly and therefore don't count.

on Squat we used to give a little slack on how far u needed to go down but this yr our weightlifting coach is really cracking down on how ur form and everything is.

  2. I think one of Prestonsburgs strongest players is the kicker Seth Moore. 455lb deadlift at a body weight of around 165lbs. New USPF state record for his age. I think they may want to try this kid at a few other postions this year.

Russells kicker dewaine evans weighs around 155 and deadlift 485 at Racelands weight meet

  3. They will be just as good or better. They do lose QB Tommy Brown, some great leaders, and a couple lineman to graduation. But an ex-Devil(6-5,300+ pnds) has come back to anchor the line after spending a couple years at St. X. They also have another boy who transfered from Columbus who is supposed to be a dandy QB. Although Russell just needs a QB who can make good smart decisions, the threat of a mild passing game could be a great addition to McGlone's offense. It was a nice surprize in the playoffs last year. With the addition of those two and the fact that this year's Junior class was so large, Russell's gaps are filling up quick. All-State cornerback Micheal Horn will be missed though. With the return of MR. FOOTBALL CANDIDATE Kasey Clark and the rest of this Senior-to-be class, Russell fans are looking forward to chasing another state title. It won't be easy with the likes of Belfry, Newport, Owens Cath, Fort Campbell, etc. They are already chomping at the bit for football season at Russell. Coach McGlone will have his boys ready for another run at the state championship.
The boy from St.X spent just half of this yr there, and the boy that transfered from columbus can throw the ball pretty well, but tyler jones has got speed over him
  4. Kasey Clark- AAstate championship player of the game.

Jacob SizeMore- Big hitter onD and a great receiver. :fire:

Tyler Jones- blocked punt in championship game and had a INT.

    Dwain Evans- Kicker EXP

    Jason Dolly- Kicker -kickoff.

Josh Wills- Guard just to name a few.

Well as I count it we have 17 returners that played in the AA championship game.

Yea I think we are looking good for next year.

mickey brown is another...he is quick as a cat

  5. bravo: Here are just some of who I think we'll see more playing time next year

    Juniors: Aaron Beekman

    Nick Lewis

    Marcus Frazier

    Dallas Sutton

    Sophmores:Tobey Hicks

    Adam Foster

    Mickey Brown

    Laike Allen

    Josh Hopper

    Greg Bender

I'm sure I am leaving off some, but these come to mind as some who got quality minutes on the JV squad this year

    Tyler Jones????
  6. A lot of kids played through injuries that game. Some I noticed was Kasey, Derek, Tommy. However, I also noticed some of the Aces banged up, but still playing. I know #80 took a shot, limped off the field, but was back a play or so later. #76 and #79 both had some leg issues but returned to the field.

I guess what I'm saying, heart and character do matter, but in a game at this level, they all have it, that's a big reason both teams made it this far.

Heart does make a big Difference

  7. 6'5" 310lb Freshman OT Seth Harvey will be transferring after mid terms to Russell. A family move to that part of the state is the reason.

Congrats Russell...You are getting one heck of a lineman. Seth anchored a X O-line that posted an undefeated season. He is also on the X Freshman basketball team. We at X will miss this fine young man! We wish him and his family all the best with their move.

BIG SETH...he was here last yr at Russell and he is an absolute bull :fire:
