HI, Im Kelsey, Im the grl in the article. Im glad you have an opinion on this but if you were in this sutuation you would want to play, you know how much fun it is playing a sport. Thats why we are pushing this law. If i were not held back for academic reasons i dont know where i would be at now, but i do know i would be behind. At the time when my parents held me back they did not know i would get serisouly invovled in a sport, at the time they were thinking of thebest for me. So i dont agree with what you have to say. If u were in my position you would understand it. The house bil is getting farther than what they expexcted and i hope it passes because i would love to get a scholarship because i know im good enough.

i do not think the child should be penalized and that is what is happening. and yes a 19 year should be allowed to play high school sports.

I Totally Dissagree With The Age Limit. If A Student Gets Held Back In The Early Stages Of School Then This Is Going To Penalize The Child. Why Should The Child Be Penalized Because She Could Not Learn As Fast As The Other Kids?? The Students Work Hard To Get Good Grades They Should Be Rewarded To Be Allowed To Play Sports. Yes, There Sould Be Rules To Abide By. But The Way It Is Now The Kids Are Being Penalized. How Is This Justified? What If You Were In This Situation? As It Is Now, Khsaa Is Stating That Sports Is More Important Than Education. If The Child Did Not Get Help Back For Education Purposes, The Child Could Play Sports. What Is More Important Education Or Sports?
