I don't thing Liggins has significantly more tats. I think they're just more visible in the light.
Bledsoe is jacked.

While the defense isn't going to be as tough as last year's from the get-go, I'd argue that it could be better (barring injuries like Micah's current situation) at the end of the year. Jarmon was a HUGE loss, don't get me wrong, but I like what I hear of DeQuin Evans and think he can do a reasonable job at replacing Jarmon. Also on the D-line you have the experience that Corey Peters brings. Also, Trevard is arguable the best cover corner in all of CFB with a former starter in Paul Warford returning. Not making any predictions on the season as a whole, as this is all "on paper" but I like what I see. You've got talent and experience at all levels.

Wow. I was recently trying to remember who did this song.
Good call. Saw them perform it as an opening act for Cameo in 1986 if I remember correctly.
Clyde...Young Jeezy, Lil Wayne, and Soulja Boy at Riverbend Sept 3rd. You're coming with I presume?

Nidiffer didn't get drafted. He's playing at Cape Cod for the summer.

This thread would be comical if the issue were not so serious. It is obvious that Coach Cal has cut some corners to be successful in the past. The old axiom of "where there's smoke, theres' fire" come to mind. I am not a UK fan. However, given the elite status and exposure of the UK program, I don't think that Coach Cal is gonna have to dig very deep in his bag of tricks to keep UK on top. Great university, great facilities, and huge fan base. Cal will thrive at UK. I may be wary, but not worried about Coach Cal. Too many tools to work with at UK to screw things up.
Great post. Also, had Memphis bailed in the first round of the tourney, this wouldn't be an issue.
-
Memphis and UK are two completely different situations. Cal had to take chances at Memphis he won't have to here.
Ding ding ding!!!

Favre loves the media attention. He's retired and un-retired too many times not to love it...
There is absoultely nothing to back up this claim that Favre loves the attention. It seems pretty obvious that he just goes back and forth alot on what he wants to do. And there's nothing wrong with that.
-
Not trying to speak for HB, but your grandpa doesn't receive extreme media coverage based on his decision. Some (not necessarily myself) are beginning to believe that Favre loves the attention and his "indecisiveness" is a facade to hype himself up.
P.S. English scholars- is facade the correct word that I am trying to use here? I feel that I'm trying to think of a different word for some reason but my mind is blank
Saw that coming from a mile. Tell me this, does Favre call up ESPN and the local news stations and tell them to send their helicopters up to follow his every move to Minnesota. Favre doesn't care about the media attention, he's not T.O.
-
Sure he can do what he likes. And I can dislike him for it.
My Grandpa has worked blue collar jobs in Pittsburgh his entire life and everytime we've been there for the holidays the past couple years he says he's retired, yet still ends up going back to these jobs everytime. Should I tell him you don't like him?

Someone explain the reason behind wishing ill will and hating Brett Favre for not wanting to give up football...I just don't get it.

I thought it was the McDonald's double cheeseburgers that I bought with those dollar bills that had cocaine in them, no?

UK Pitcher James Paxton who was drafted in the first round by the Blue Jays, will return to UK for his final season. Gotta love to hear that if you're Gary Henderson.

Legacy, you're constantly manipulating you're previous posts. I'm not going back to look at all of your old posts on this subject as someone already did that and it's all a moot point now. Alot of people you're arguing with are more "in the know" on this subject and that's not a knock on you at all. You're assuredly more in the know on other topics. However, there's a few things that you just don't seem to want to agree with but are pretty much fact:
1) The round in which Luke was drafted was more reflective of his signability than his talent.
2) Luke had a number in mind that it would take him to forego college and he didn't get it. I'm still very confident in saying that he WAS offered $400k and that wasn't enough in Luke's mind. Nothing wrong with that, Luke's choice.
3) The Maile's have nothing to gain by "lying" or "prettying" anything up for the public.
4) If Luke were a late-round talent in the Sox eyes, it wouldn't have gone down to August 17th.
Now, me being a selfish BatCats fan, I must say I am very happy with the end result. Good luck to Luke and the Maile family.

I don't know about obsessed -- I don't care that much to become obsessed over them. But the fact remains is I live in Kentucky and am surrounded by UK fans. I have watched the nutso behavior all my life.
Your post history would indicate otherwise.

Just because everybody else is doing it doesn't excuse it. There's a fine line between passion and lunacy, and the 18-percenters (conservative estimate) crash through it and keep on running, with regularity.
Right, but that wasn't the point. The point was that we, as BLUEGRASS preps members are exposed to Kentucky lunacy more than other lunacy. If this were Sunshine State preps, we'd be exposed to that, etc, etc.

Hoping I can make it down to this game since it's UK's bye week. Sounds like a good atmosphere.

Most teams call the players they're cutting to the Director of Personnel's office.

Can someone post the CCH schedule with dates?
-
People are really overreacting about a veteran's performance on ONE DRILL in TRANING CAMP.
-
I agree. What a pathetic effort from Roy Williams. He got dominated. He will be useless in the secondary.
You can't be serious...based off one drill? Take a look across the league and see what kind of effort veterans like Williams put into training camp. That one Oklahoma drill meant alot more to that rookie WR than it did to Roy.

Way too much face time for Brown and Blackburn. Quite hilarious actually.
Anyone else think if HBO isn't in the house, those two are nowhere (important) to be found? And call me a sexist but Katie Blackburn has no business discussing personnel moves based on certain players footwork or whatever intricate part of the game they were discussing.
If that show doesn't get you jacked up for football season in general, check your pulse. I think this will be what I need to get excited for the Bengals this year. Thank you HBO.

Just heard on Ch 27 news that there is a clause in his contract about moral behavior. It could be grounds for them to dismiss him. I think he would resign first. I hate this as I am both a UK fan and U of L fan.

How is throwing the helmet weak or shameful when you just got a rock solid baseball put in the back of your neck at 90 MPH?
-
You sure your friend wasn't a tall righty who threw smoke?
Made the story sound better....and I couldn't remember. He didn't have a Zito-esque hook like one pitcher on that team, I know that much.
