they're fixing up several fields aren't they? anyone know how the works going?

Out of curiousity and seeing how someone was nice enough to post the members of PLL, who was at the first meeting of the new league formation? Anyone care to name those people? I've "heard" of several that were there, but you all know hearing and knowing can be two different things .(If these were already mentioned somewhere else just point me in that direction if you don't mind)

*lol*, what was the purpose of this post? I mean come on, someone earlier asked who was elected to the LL board and someone was nice enough to post who they are. IMO this little comment was uncalled for. We could cuss and discuss the what for's, where to's, how come's, why not's until we're all blue in the face. Lets just let the kids be kids and play ball, for whatever league they want and quit trying to influence their decisions. WE could all take a lesson from the kids and watch how they interact and get along with kids from other schools that are not their own and try, just try to do the same thing with other adults who don't happen to wear the same color that we do in the stands don't you think.

Sidelines, I'm really surprised of the comments you posted since you once coached in the very LL that you are now dogging. I have been around this LL since Cobb Clay was there and not one time in all those years have I ever seen anyone who wasn't there for the kids. The LL program is where its at today because of the hard work and loyal dedication of the adults and parents who support it and work hard so their children and grandchildren can reap the benefits of everyone's knowledge. You know that old saying it takes a community to raise a child, well it appears to me the LL community is doing something right for the last 30 some years. Anytime something new comes to town you're gonna have those who go and check it out, and I'm sure there will be plenty of them with this new league. Do I think it will affect LL, sure, you'd have to be silly to think it wouldn't, but do I think LL will fold...NOT ON YOUR LIFE (IMHO)...why?...because of the tradition and excellence that the program has developed and the parents and volunteers who simply love the game. Why would giving up the state tourney be of any good...all you're doing there is robbing the kids of the right to which they've worked so hard and earned in show casing their town and facility to the state. Lets leave the running of the organizations to the officers and board members who have only the best interests of the kids at heart...and leave the rumors and inuendos and personal feelings unprinted
