Does anyone think that the rest of the tomcat team besides McDavid and Thomas can score more than 8 points this game unlike last time?
no

Coach Hall is extremely good but this group isn't as good as advertise. They won in middle school but most have been held back so they were a year older than most other middle school players. And many schools do not even attend the middle school state tourny. They are good but not as good as they have been hyped. Just my opinion!!!
This is very true they are all held back and were as big in 8th grade as they are now ,they are also not very quick, they were middle school heros, there have been many of them.

Fleming wins by 2.

I doubt that, Humphrey transferred to Paintsville... also Dials transferred to Johnson Central.
Transfers will happen when kids think politics or a coaches son enters the picture, coaching your son in high school is bad for a program.

Reitz certainly has been a rolling stone in the 10th. I would rate Reitz and Rison as the best coaches, with Biggs a close third at this point. Biggs' real test will come next year when 80% of the Wildcats' starters have graduated.
He will probably move on also. :walk: :walk:

Will Boone Goldsmith be the qb?
-
Lee Kendall from Harrison.
-
Has Tom Posey from Mason applied?
-
I would definitly put Jon Verst up there as one of the best sophmores in Northen Kentucky.
I saw Verst play for the first time this week while we were scouting Mason and Campbell good shooter but not very athletic, not in the same area code as the top sophs.

Should be a tough regional tourney.

Wow nice win Cats. Boy that extra 8 minutes are tough!

How will Fleming be in 2006 ?

I think at St. Pat basketball is more for fun now and about everyone getting to play and if they win or, are even competitive it keeps the parents and alumni happy.
-
St Patrick played hard but what is the fashion statement about head bands everywhere wrist bands ,and the Iverson arm sleeve ,it just does not go along with the conservetive nature of the school. That much individualism is not good for the team concept.

Mason won by 20 something.

It doesn't matter if you were sitting on the front row that game Schmidt was not the only reason St Henry made it to the state tournament. The other big kid led them in scoring that year so your post about that is pointless. Yes they lost to Mason by 1 point does that give them a state title no. Mason had a tough semi-final game if you remember sitting there. Ballard was beaten soundly in the title game but wasn't a pushover for St. Henry. If you consider them representing the 9th so well what about other teams such as Ryle losing in the first round to a very good Warren Central team or Holmes doing the same last year? Do you only remember Lofton? Come on Aunt Bee use more than one 9th region team to back up your point. No "Candy and Nuts" argument here. I was courtside at that game, and St. Henry was playing excellent basketball. When they lost the big man due to injury, they were unable to overcome Mason County. Did Mason County have any injuries? Heck if I know - but they didn't lose Lofton during that game - which is what effectively happened to St. Henry.Regardless, my point is that St. Henry was a 9th Region team that did well at the State Tournament - and, in my opinion, might well have won it, had the big man not gone down. In other words - they represented the 9th Region VERY well - and should be recognized as having done so.

The win over St. Henry after a loss of the big man is a candy and nuts deal. Did Mason have any injuries during that game. Interesting question do the research.I agree with Nets, but I would say that the Bishop Brossart team that lost it's big man to injury a couple of years ago was capable of winning the title (they lost to Mason County and Chris Lofton). That was a very solid team.

I don't attempt to make them look stupid. I can just feed off their comments. He said play for anyone, which they most likely could. I guess this is one of your attempts to make people from Brossart look stupid. Good try. -
D-1? No. How many D-1 prospects in the state? Maybe 15.
Ok are they D-2 players BG said they can play with anybody.
-
Congrats to the 'Trains on their tournament victory!! The Pelle boys can play for anyone, and Justin has some serious hops!! They are fun to watch and may make some noise in the NKAC D-3 race!!
Are these boys D-1 prospects because this is the first I have heard of them. Didn't Silver Grove barely beat St Pat?

I have watched Flemings coach twice this year and it looks like he really works hard. Things would have been different if not for the transfers
Coach is one of the better young coaches in the area. Things could have been different but they will done fine.
-
It was possible but Morgan Co is awfully tough and well coached. Coach is going through a rough year. With those 2 players red, do you think Fleming could have made a push for the 16th title? Also what about Flemings coach? It seems he is getting several technicals this year. Of course some of these refs seem to be awfully T happy. -
Two of the better players went South.
