  1. I'll take Leslie by 10. if Nagbe can have a game like he did aganist Corbin and Cahill can contribute it will be a good game. If not then Leslie wins easy. What's the deal with the leading teams in the 14th playing OBI?? Seems like around tournament time they would play a little tougher schedule.

I don't think Leslie's schedule has been a cake walk. They have played some tough teams.

  2. Not to take anything away from Leslie in anyway what so ever, but I've been thinking. Maybe, just maybe, Buckhorn did not want to show Leslie everything they had knowing that they will go head to head once agian in couple weeks in the 56th. Just a speculation, no one get fired up here, Leslie may just be playing great ball. This is only a thought?????

We are in the 54th and Buckhorn may have been holding some things back, but they still lost by 28.

  3. I don't know a whole lot about Leslie, but just having him able to play would have to be a psychological boost to the rest of their team. Without knowing the extent of his injury only a Leslie Co. Insider could say how much he can help performance wise. Personally I don't see how he could come back and get into shape well enough to be effective after suffering a broken foot. The type of player he is he needs to be 100% physically. He is young and strong so it may be possible if the injury wasn't too serious. I wish him the best, he is an excellent player.

Hubbard is probably the hardest working player on the team(when he doesn't have a broken foot). Even with his cast on he would still shoot all practice long off of one foot. He will be well in shape to help Leslie win, he will bring defensive intensity, and bring teams that play zone on Leslie a step or two back out and help open it up for the big men.

  4. Pack it in on them. 2-3 zone. And make sure your kids box out because the boards are where the game will be won and lost in a game like this.

Took the words right out of my mouth. If your shorter team is quick the press is also a useful thing if you have quick active players. You don't have to go all out 12 press all the time but a 2-2-1 can slow the pace of the game and get you some steals here and there.

  5. Coach Hall at Breathitt in my opinion has the most pressure. He has a team of kids that if I recall won the middle school state championship and he is just off a successful season from a year ago. The pressure is on Coach Hall to succeed.

It's different in middle school when you have a 6'5 boy it's somthing special but in high school you see them on almost all teams.

  6. Gilbert's injury should be season ending but after talking to him at the game tonight he told me he had been to see a specialist and was hopeful he could get a guard or some type of brace and be back by senior night with some ability. I hope everything works out. Hard times for the wolves, they have to starters ou with potentially season ending ihjuries and their first 2 players off the bench left the team, I hope they get things straightened out.

what did he do to his knee?

  7. If Breathitt couldnt handle Leslies press than they definently want make it far in the region. Not putting anything against leslie, i just think they take themselves out of there game when they try to press teams. They give up a lot of easy baskets. This Leslie team isnt very quick if you hadnt noticed, IMO. Heck... what do i know though, Hazard beat them and people still want give my boys no credit for doing that. Good Luck Breathitt, cant wait to see this team play for the next two years... if they stay together. :thumb:

It depends on the lineup they have. They have some very quick players like B.J. Young, Riley Hendrix, Daniel Day, Ryan Howard, and Brian Hubbard (when he comes back).
