I'd say that the 9th is about has improved from about the 10th best region to the 5th best region in just 3 weeks. Just imagine if Scott and Simon Kenton had stuck around for one more year!
I am not sure I would be bragging about Scott too much with what I saw against PC last week

Good time for the JV to get some playing time under coach Biggs.

Another good win by the cats. The refs were not calling anything which is fine by me as long as they are consistent. There was 2 minutes left in the second half and the refs had called 1 foul and was on HC as time expired in the third quarter. Although people like the refs allowing the players to play, this can lead to players getting hurt which was close to being the case. Elrod had a huge night, especially hitting, I believe 3 straight 3's to put the cats well ahead for good. Keep on rolling cats. :ylsuper:

Pendleton's adult crowd was good, but the school students were very disrespectful and obnoxious especially since they were doing these things in the Scott cheering section. They were yelling obscenities to the adults, cheerleaders, and players from Scott.
We are hearing this same thing at every away game. PC brings a large group of fans to all away games. many of which are students. I have never seen a larger following of students at away games from any other school. I thinks most schools are quite surprised and usually don't see their seats filled with opposing students, therefore they tend to get hacked off when the seats are filled. Keep it up PC fans and go cats :ylsuper:

This one was over early as the cats roll on. :dancingpa

He went to Clark county first, but if he would have stuck with the wildcats look at what he would be enjoying now.
Who is to say that Rietz could have done the same thing that Biggs has done in PC?

1. Someone's overreacting.
2. Who said anything about shoes, water, etc? Anyways, if you live in Kentucky and talk to anyone that's from outside of the tri-state area than you will hear those remarks.
3. While many 9th region teams don't consider PC to be NKY for various reasons, PC never asked to be in NKY while they had teams of lesser caliber.
4. If NKY is so arrogant, than I'm not sure why you would want to be a part of it.
Typical reponse. Your right, I don't really care to be part of it. See you at the state level. OUT.

I can't believe that anyone would even consider PC as a N.Ky. team. There not even close to being in N.Ky. They are not in Campbell which really covers a pretty good territory, Boone, or Kenton either. IMO if your not in these counties you should not even to be considered an Northern Ky. Team!!!!
Another example of the arrogence of N.Kentucky and especially the 9th region. I live in Pendleton and work in Covington and can get there quicker than most people who live in Boone Co. PC has beaten all of the ninth region teams they have played thus far. Maybe the 9th don't want PC included because being ranked lower in the polls would deflate their egos, which they apparently need. Maybe you need to pack up the family and come all the way to PC for a visit and see what green grass and woods looks like. We do wear shoes and even have running water, so come on out.

The score is correct. Another win by PC. The JV got lots of playing time in this one. :dancingpa

Well Pendleton County did play NDA in a KAAC quick Recall match on September 20, but I sort of felt bad for the Pendleton kids, as they were beaten badly, by the NDA girls. So I guess they are trying to be part of Northern Kentucky in High School matters other than in just sports.
To enlighten those who only do sports, the KAAC sponsor the "Governors Cup" which is played in Louisville each year. The “Governors Cup” is a very highly competitive competition and the Quick Recall matches are the most hotly contested of all the competitions. This is the "smart kids sweet sixteen", and is as competitive as any State High School Football or Basketball Tournament. Really it is a great show, and if you want to see the future leaders of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, come to this event. One day one of these kids will own the team that the Mr. Basketball of Kentucky will play on.......
Proud father mode on..... I was never smart enough to be on such a team, but my kid is......Proud father mode off.....
Please

I do not think they should be included nor should any other team that is not from Campbell, Kenton, or Boone county.
Coaches in those 3 counties see enough of the other teams to make a reasonable assessment of teams.
It wouldn't be fair to Pendleton or any of the other teams like Bracken County or Gallatin to include them in a poll where most coaches are unfamiliar with the teams. Maybe some paper should conduct a separate poll for teams not in NKY and not in Lexington or Louisville polls.
I would not be surprised if you work for the post sports section, given the coverage of the 10th region tournament even though there are teams from Campbell and Kenton involved. I say let the NKY keep their poll and we will see you in the state tournament. :madman:

I have not seen Mason, but I am not sure Harrison could beat Brossart outside of Harrison Co. They would not have the help of the refs.
