  1. Burchett was somewhat off in the 1st qtr. onei, but he had 6-8 dropped balls around +/-30 yds, and half were easy catches even while on the run, whether running out of the pocket to the left or right, and could very easily have added another 3-4 TD's as accurately as he was throwing the ball. I hope we can look for more of the same, with the receivers making those catches from here on out since he's finally combined his accuracy while on the move. And, to coin the old automotive term, "fluid-drive" is where he now appears to be with his passing, and it's up to his receivers to do their part.:thumb:

Hey o-line what was Burchett's stats on the night did he have 300+?

  2. Goodness, toots... my memory's not that good. Some highlights are in my post above. But...

You missed a very good ballgame. Prestonsburg was able to string together enough completions to put the ball in the endzone 3 times. A great KO play at the end of the first half led to a 37 yd. FG to make it 17-7 at the half. The 2nd half was mostly a defensive struggle. P-burg stopped Corbin twice on 4th down attempts (a 4th and 2 at the P 40, and a 4th and 6 at the P 30). Prestonsburg scored after the 4th and 2 stop, I believe.

Neither the Corbin fumbles or INT's led to P-burg scores, however the fumbles stopped two Corbin drives. One of the INT's was a poor decision by the Hound QB (threw into dbl coverage), but it occurred near midfield and led to no Blackcat points. The other INT ended the first half.

    Could not said any better:thumb:

  3. Really? Then how is it that Hayden now owns and has destroyed 3 KHSAA CAREER Records which used to be held by previous Mr. Football award winners/candidates across KY?

Career Rushing TDs - now has 114 (broke Derek Homer/Ft. Knox of110 '93-96)

    Career TD's - now has 132 (broke Kelvin Turner/Danville of 116 '01-04)

Career Points Scored - now has 801 (broke H.Phelps/Old KyHome of 722 '61-63)

i would suggest this is worthy of on the field success over time. :)

This kid is a beast, if I had a vote for Mr. Football, this kid would get it.:thumb:

  4. The bolded part is very, very true. Earlier in the year when I saw JC play, I wasn't that impressed. They have really improved. Getting Dillon back has improved their offense dramatically. And the Hall kid has a ton of speed. He's fast, real fast. Forget about him for a second, and he'll take a qb keeper to the end zone.

Watch out for him moving out to wide receiver. They beat Ashland using a pass play to him.

Highlands, like all Highland's teams has a lot of speed, year in year out they are they play like a track meet. Out quick before you know it down three TD's. JC use it's running game to keep the there the Birds 'O' off the field and play some good sound 'D' with the some turn overs JC may have a chance in this one.

  5. How many years have you seen them play? Last year was the FIRST AND ONLY time they have played.

Last year, JC scored 3 TD,s (1 in 2nd qtr, 1 in 3rd qtr, 1 in 4th qtr) in the game...They must have been stopped a time or two. I guess you missed that year.

LOL, I mean all the nothern Kentucky teams they have played over the last few years.:D

  6. I believe in the upset, and I believe when men come together with a common goal anything can happen, and I believe in the Rams team and there coaching staff to put together a complete game in order to win. LCA is a great team and has great talent with a pretty outstanding coaching staff, but they are not unbeatable ether, it will take a prefect game to beat them and in that I believe the Raceland Rams can do just that make the biggest upset in the state this week. Good luck Rams and good luck to LCA they will need it when the Rams come in to town.

  7. well then they should earn that chacne in the district games, not play like ..... and then decide, it is the playoffs so it is time to play for real. They can still count on those upsets in the regular season until they make it to the playoffs. They need to EARN playoff spots, not just give them to everyone in the state.

A lot of teams improve over the course of a season, some get better some get worse. A bad team can lose the first 6 games, but won the last 4 because they got better over the spend of the season and is ready to make a few upsets in the playoffs and make that run that everybody would remember because they improved and got better, IMO that is what makes the playoffs so fun and high school football over all. All a team like that needs is a chance to make it happen, it is a crime to take that away form the them and any team who wants that shot.

  8. McCreary Central played both. MC and Knox 13-6 at half. LC MC LC 35 -0 at half. Not so fast. McCreary Central had 7 players out at Lawrence Co. that started most of the year. Knox Central has gotten better all year long. I pick Knox Central by 2 Td,s.

C'mon man KC will enter Bulldog land and it will shock them, Lawrence Co. beats Knox Central 35-20, it will be close until the fouth quarter when the dogs start pounding the rock. The Bulldogs are not 11-0 on accident.
