That is a tough tough game.
-
Great win for the Blackcats!
-
Russell win 7-0 in a hard hitting battle over East Carter.
-
Fort Knox wins 40-20 it will be closer then that, but the eagels will pull away in the second half.
-
Fort Knox will win some big games wait and see.
-
Ashlands wins 20-0, this game will be closer then many people believe.
-
I may be at there first game with Fort Knox.
-
JC wins this one 39-32 in a big upset.

Here's my mockup based on the 09/10 enrollment only, which we know will be a component of the process. I have Highlands and CovCath remaining in their natural 4A enrollment, though there is a 5A NKY district they'd fit into as well. I have Russellville moving up to 3A as they do now, and move a team down into 1A to compensate, which I think the KHSAA would have to do to maintain at least 4 teams per district. The west in 4A would become a real issue in 2012 (and is not ideal now) when Lone Oak is gone, and 2A District 1 would be a team short as well. McCracken County will probably be a 6A school at that point. Nelson County is due to split the same year, so the balance in 6A will be maintained, with one team moving in, one team out. I'm sure it's not perfect, but really, nothing will be given the lack of teams in areas of certain classes. The number you see next to each team is their enrollment, which I believe I have correct this time (no doubling as I mistakenly did before). Without further ado, for your perusal and debate:

Nice work!

Rowan Co. could be a dark horse this year.
-
I'll throw out a few names to start:
Gerad Parker WR Lawrence Co
Mike West RB Lawrence Co
Justin Burke QB Lex Cath
Vic Anderson RB St X
Gino Gudulii QB Highlands
Derek Smith TE Highlands
Jaun Thomas RB Ashland
Eric Shelton RB Bryan Station
Brent Hamblin WR Highlands
Justin Frisk RB Highlands
Chestor Ford NG Danville
DeAnthony Honaker DL Pikeville
Brandon Berger RB Beechwood
Arliss Beach RB Ashland
Justin Haddix QB Breathitt
There's a start:thumb:
That is a pretty good list, but I think John Ortega 1995-'98 Pretonsburg scored nearly 60 touchdowns in the last two seasons combined was little over looked.
-
Is Fairview loaded this year? Can the eagels be as good as that 11-1 team in '03?
-
Campbell Co. is a tough distict year in and out, but It would be great to see them make a big run in the playoffs.
-
Newport is a great darkhorse pick, I don't know the inner workings of this program over the years, but like few programs, they can go form bad to pretty good really quick over there, for example in the mid '90s Newport went form 0-10 to 6-5 to 11-2 and that is just one of many examples form this program. My is pick is not Newport even if it would have been wise choice, but am making a bigger jump by not just one pick, but two picks Betsy Layne and Fort Knox, two teams looking to be on the rise in two distict's that have seen better days. Betsy Layne has two one thousand yard backs returning as well as a QB that thrown for over thousand yards to add to a talented group of lineman. Fort Knox is a very fast team, with the coaching of Coach Combs the teams are getting better every year, remember speed kills. That is my picks for the darkhores teams for 2010.
-
We know that the Highlands and the Trinitys will be up for a title every year. This thread is not about the power programs that year after year reload blow out every team in sight and win the state title. This thread is for those teams that most years lose more games then they win, but for some reason they make a great run either making the playoffs or making a run in the playoffs who do you pick as your dark horse 2010.
-
Campbellsville will do great with Coach Cobb.
-
If McCreary Central come up with a 6 or 7 wins and another trip the playoffs, it would be saying alot to how far they could go in 2011.
-
They went 7-4 last year I wonder what they have coming back.
-
Magoffin Co. has been building the on the last three years '07, '08, and '09 have been 5-6 seasons, they may be due for a break out year 2010.
-
Prayers go out to Baldridge Family form Ashland.
-
Congrats to Lamar Dawson and his family on a great reward.
-
I would like to see what this kid can do on the field this fall for Dixie Heights.
-
Why can't khsaa listen to us we want four classes back again! It was a great system for the playoffs we have now, why did they change it? Did they even consider what all the coachs wanted or just the few in Louisville.
-
Many at Belfry call it a down year at 8-4, I say the Pirate's will not be down for very long.
