  1. He is just saying your comparison of those teams to Gardner Webb, San Diego and VMI is not a good comparison at all. UAB ended up being a sweet 16 team, and if you want to add to that, we lost to UAB last year as well under Billy G. Dayton has been a tournament team, and has knocked off some other big name teams in the past. Penn State the year UK lost to them was a sweet 16 team I believe. Western the year they beat UK, had a center that was suppose to be a lottery pick. So not a good comparison, because these teams we have lost to our just horrible.

Very well sid Future Coach! I'm rather hard on BCG he has offended me personally and because of that I actually am rooting for the man to fail.

  2. Your argument was pretty decent until you pulled out these two sentences.

All of my statements are facts. I just think that UK could have looked a bit harder and brought a better coach. IMO the hard work of so many is going down the tubes under this current regime. Also Tubby had we'll say 4? potentially embarrassing losses in 10 seasons, and BCG has 4 in a season and 1 game!

  3. He did lose to Dayton, Penn State, UAB and Western Kentucky. However, UK has no business losing to VMI at home.

Penn State is in a power conference. That UAB team also beat Dwayne Wade's Marquette team and went to the Sweet Sixteen, Western KY loss also brought Patrick Sparks to UK and 2 Regional Elite Eights and 30 win seasons! Billy G is winless at UK in the NCAA after 1 tourney appearnce at UK. Tubby was 5-0 with a NCAA title.

  4. OH..........IO it's a win and the Buckeyes will take it. OSU has to do a better job in the Red zone if they are to have a chance to win next week. Any without Beanie and probably looking ahead a bit the found themselves having to battle through some adversity which will only make them better as the season goes along. USC will help the Buckeyes get better next week no matter what the outcome will be. GO BUCKS!!!

  5. How's that worked out so far?

It worked great under Clinton. We had a balanced budget. The government has the resources to fix big problems alot better than the middle class does. I was asked about being a real democrat so I shared my ideas of what I believe this party stands for and what I personally believe and I find myself way to the left and in MORE agreement with the democratic party than the republican party.

  6. When Pelosi and the Dems took control of congress in 06 gas was 2.22 per gal... Yet they still want to blame Bush for the high prices and have blocked every measure to reduce prices.. Go figure...

OK what were gas prices when the true idiot Bush took office in 2000? They wer 99 cents a gallon and he told the Americian people not to vote for Gore because gas would be 2 dollars a gallon. Pelosi IMO couldn't do any worse running the country than the moron Bush that we have now. The best thing about the 2008 election is that Bush is finally gone. :dancingpa Long Live King Obama!!!!!:thumb::ylsuper:

  7. Unless your income declined or you have sold your house, lost dependents, etc., you have been paying less federal income taxes than you did during the Clinton years. Maybe you should go over your returns again.

Hopefully, you will be voting for the fourth loser in as many elections. Eventually another Democrat will win the presidency, I just hope that he is not a socialist.

Actually Clinton won in 96, which brought peace and prosperity with a balanced budget!

  8. AcesFull, can you claim less than zero? Anyway Congress is made up of both Dems and Repubs and although the Dems hold an advantage they don't hold a significant advantage to gain the 2/3rds needed. Repubs block them just like Dems used to block them 2-6 years ago! Nevertheless I will cast my 1 vote for Obama in November and I will sit and watch and hopefully for the first time in 8 years be excited about America's new direction. McCain doesn't excite me really about anything Yes I know I'm voting for president for the fourth time in my life. Clinton 96, Gore 00, and Kerry 04. I was at the Kerry convention in Boston when Obama spoke and I told people then that he should be our president. Obama has worked hard his entire public life and I believe he will carry that same effort to the White House should America be fortunate enought to elect him!

  9. What changes do you believe Obama will make that will improve your lot in life and that of your family? Will imposing new taxes on oil companies lower your gasoline and food prices? Will levying higher taxes on the people who already pay more than 40 percent of federal income taxes improve your life? Are you confident that Obama will make the correct foreign policy decision when Israel is finally forced to respond to Iranian threats of nuclear annihilation? If the Russians begin arming Cuba again, are you confident that Obama has the leadership skills to deal effectively with the challenge?

I want a president who is capable and willing to make the right decision based on available information, regardless of whether the decision is popular. Leaders shape public opinion - they do not just create a focus group and hire pollsters to tell them which decision will help their public approval ratings. Our founding fathers created a representative republic for good reason. A pure democracy in which elected representatives always vote in accordance with their constituents' wishes is not the kind of government that I want to see in this country.

I often disagree with John McCain but there is no disputing that he has the courage and leadership skills to handle the job. Obama has shown no such skills in this campaign or in his career. He has always been a panderer and he avoids making tough decisions whenever possible. Obama reminds me of Supreme Court nominees in the post-Bork period trying just a little too hard to avoid making a mistake.

i would like to get a refund instead of paying taxes. When Clinton was in office we always got a nice refund. under Bush we have been wiped out every year. I think Obama would go back to the structure of taxes which would hopefully make my families financial situation better. And we haven't changed jobs or made that much more money in fact we added a child and I believe Bush has bled the middle class to death with a war I still am trying to figure out! I think Obama's ability to speak will help our foreign policy. He is loved world wide something we have not had from a president in 8 years. He is being compared to Kennedy and he did a pretty good job with the Cuban Missile Crisis. I want to see a change I have to admit I am so Anti-Bush that I believe no matter what Obama couldn't do any worse!

  10. Obama once again shows his propensity to do the popular thing.

Aces, I like the fact Obama wants to do the popular thing USUALLY the popular thing seems to benefit the majority of the people. Hence Bush's low approval rating and I know personally me and my family are not better off because of Bush. Changing America's direction may mean changing your mind. I think it is good leadership skills to make good adjustments to policies. We get on other forums and criticize coaches for their unwillingness to change or make adjustments to what will work in a game. A President is a coach and IMO they must make adjustments in the game that will benefit the team {Americian People}. I like the fact the man can say let's look at this again and see how it helps or let's revise this policy to serve a greater good. This is something Bush wouldn't do and according to most the the members on his team the {American People} 76% of them including myself say that he has failed us miserably!

  11. What I hate to see is that FOX news drills everything Obama does, and they paint McCain to be the saint. I understand biases because I have and will continue to support Barack Obama. I'm pretty sure he won't be the best president we hve ever had, but I like his energy and enthusiaism for the job. He seems to have a passion to make America better for everyone. I have disliked Bush since the first time I ever listened to him speak. He has created a sharp divide in the country IMO, and yes at times has made it hard for me to be proud of the things the USA has done or is currently doing.

  12. Another one is Raceland's Paige VanHoose who had 50 wins the past 2 seasons and led Raceland to the Class A runner-up in 2007 and the 16th Region Finals. She was Ashland Daily Independent Pitcher of the Year and has signed to play at The University of Dayton. Stick1 I also believe our girls from Eastern KY sometimes don't get the credit they deserve.
