-
ESPN is reporting, small plane flown by Lidle hit a building on the east side of Manhattan. Four confirmed fatalities including the pilot, Lidle.

I'd like to drop K John Hall and pick up Noah Herron.
I'd also like to drop the St. Louis defense and pick up WR Travis Taylor.
-
Happy B-day stick, I hope you had a wonderful day.
-
Down by 3 going into the night, Elam just kicked a 43 yard field goal valuable for 4 points. Whoa! Game over, good game Subvets. I consider myself very lucky to escape with a win this week.
-
I'd like to drop Oakland's defense and pick up St. Louis' defense. I swear this is my last defensive change of the week.
-
Is free agency open??
If so I'd like to drop Washington's defense and pick up Oakland's.
Drop Troy Brown and pick up Vernon Davis.
Drop Kevin Faulk and pick Vernand Morency.
-
A couple of more that I've not seen mentioned:
Kyle Sublett (Paintsville)
Hank Simpson (Letcher County Central)
-
Waiver wire move of the week:
I'd like to pick up the Washington Redskins Defense and drop Michael Robinson.
-
I heard some talk today that there was some awuful comments made on the annual "You might be a Tiger... You might be an Eagle" top 10 list this year. If I was Paintsville, the last thing I would do is make JC mad.
This is why people that didnt graduate from JC or Paintsville cant grasp this rivalry and want to beat the other team 100 points.
Funny thing is about all of this, you see these top 10 lists. Half of them aren't even about the football players and more than likely no football players are involved in making them. All the acts of vandalism, and such that were done a few years back, at least the ones I know of were done by students, not football players.

Yeah, c'mon Godot, you should know all about that. Mark -vs- Michael. The Clayton boys:D
No, it was just minor error on my behalf. It was none of Godot's fault, I can't add nor can I do name recognition. Seems by the time I get to a computer, my brain's fried.

RB Tiki Barber NYG 64 rushing yards + 14 receiving yards = 7 pts
RB Kevan Barlow NYJ 31 rushing yards + rushing TD = 9 pts
WR Donald Driver GB 20 receiving yards + receiving TD = 8 pts
WR Joey Galloway TB 8 receiving yards + receiving TD = 6 pts
TE Jermaine Wiggins MIN 9 receiving yards = 0 pts
PK Jason Elam DEN 1 FG + 2 XPs = 5 pts
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Total = 35 points
Sorry, I can't work anymore out of it
Sorry Godot, you're right guess I just I miscalculated.
-
Godot, I'm pretty sure the Stars should have 36 points. Maybe it'll be the difference maker in the end. A man can dream, can't he?? If Vick and the ATL defense can put up averages, it could be the difference maker but I doubt they'll shut out McAlister. So sadly enough, I'll probably be beat this week.
-
Can we already add people off the waiver wire?
They won't be added, but I'm just going ahead and putting in request.
I'm not worried about Tiki.
-
For the waiver wire this week,
I'd like to drop Anthony Thomas and pick up Marcus Robinson.
As well as drop Jermaine Wiggins for K John Hall.
Also if anyone would be interested, I'm thinking of trading Tiki Barber. Please send offers to periman_mojo2000@yahoo.com

If I had the power to decide, it would find a final resting spot at a neutral site. Rec Center? The Red Caboose on Broadway? Bottom of Paintsville Lake? Sold on E-Bay?
I say it should go to the Paintsville Tourism building or quite possibly the KHSAA Hall of Fame.
-
Tommy Taylor of Johnson Central is a dangerous one, has good speed and quite the height advantage on most DB's.
-
I'd like to repick up Devry Henderson for Antwan Randle El.

I have to ask about why was Paintsville starters in the 3rd quarter being up by so much. They didn't prove a thing. I was proud of the players on the betsy layne side for showing class, and I would like to say "what goes around comes around." Remember that!
Most of Paintsville's starters weren't in the game, heck some weren't even playing during the second quarter. Paintsville was already without two starters, and had another three leave the game with injuries. If you seen the guys in the secondary, and that's who your referring to then they were short handed to begin with as the starting CB was out, another left with a neck injury. I know I was thinking the same thing, but then realized and look down on the sidelines to see only one secondary player over there still dressed. I don't think Paintsville was trying to be classless, to say the least last night. If that was the case they could have scored 100. Paintsville, could have done much of the same last year vs. BL but didn't. So don't even start that stuff, everyone on Paintsville's team played last night. Heck during the fourth quarter a starting WR, who had never played QB before took the helm.

You know, "questioned calls" are something I try hard not to...well...question. The only thing that happens when you do is upset the stomach.
I know the Hughes dive is controversial. Do you think there's a question on Moore's TD reception ?
I can't really tell from the film, all I know is about the time he hits the one you can see him falling forward and then the ball squirts out. The Hughes call took a lot of wind out of the Tigers I do believe. But I have to say Hughes picked apart the secondary for most of the night. The Blackcats played better than the Tigers and deserved the win. Paintsville continues to struggle and shoot themselves in the foot. Congrats to those guys and good luck the rest of the season.

I didn't catch that switch. But if that's what shook Sublett loose from his LB position, it was a good defensive switch because Sublett made a TON of tackles...
Well that's definitely what freed him up in the second half, P-burg took advantage of the freshman and was crashing on Subby with their tackles and TE's on the outside runs. When Bucky moved back to LB the crashing ceased and freed up Sublett. Bailey was in a ton of tackles in the second half and I'd give him the CNS player of the game. Since you're a fan of both the Blackcats and the Tigers, what do you think of the two questionable TD calls? Now that I realized after watching the game for a third time today, that it was 4th down on Hughes' supposed poke into the end zone I'm a little more irritated.
-
You still can't deal well with losing to a Vanhoose-led Tiger team ?!?
Goodness...EVERYbody lost to those teams !!

Paintsville's player of the game, IMO was Kyle Sublett. He did a great job at LB tonight.
:thumb:
Sublett did play well tonight as he has all season, and has been named BSN defensive player of the week last week as well as Citizen's National player of the game twice this season. I'm not sure who got awarded that honor tonight oneIjoe but I'd believe I'd give that honor to Bucky Bailey. He seemed to be the difference maker in neutralizing P-burg's offense in the second half when he moved to LB from DE. Not only was he making plays, but he was taking the amount of blocks thrown Sublett's way in the first half, freeing up Sublett to make plays himself.
-
Sports Overtime had some good highlights of this game. The play were -p-burgs qb dove for the pile-on was great.
If you like that one, you should have seen P-burg's final TD. From where I was sitting, it looked as if he fumbled the ball into the endzone from about the 1 or 2 yard line but they called it a touchdown. I've watched the dive for the pile-on in slow motion, I could be wrong but I'm not sure how your right hand can knock the pile-on down but you can still get the ball over the goal line when your diving at that angle. Heck I may be wrong and it really doesn't matter as they'd probably scored on the next play. But when you fumble into the endzone and a Paintsville player picks it up, not sure how it's a touchdown. Oh well, the Blackcats out played the Tigers and deserved to win. If Paintsville doesn't get their line together, they may be staring at a #3 seed in their district.

Congrats NamecipS, nice win way to slaughter me. I don't think you could ask for a much better day out of your guys. Hopefully, Kevan Barlow and Jason Elam can make it a little more respectable.
