Due what the 9th did and take refs from outside the region. Not all refs who ref inside a region have strong ties to particular schools. Say what you will, I'm not to familar with this situation. But I don't think a ref should be officating a final four of a region when the school his child or children attend are still alive and well.

Listen bottom line. Nobody should officate in a regional tourney where they have allegiance to one of the partcipating schools. Say what you will, but that is just how it should be to avoid any problems or finger pointing.
