  1. I absolutely LOVE the Thursday night games....single exposure NATIONALLY.....not many teams get that kind of opportunity...

and your score is way off.

You really think at this point its a good idea for the whole country to watch UL play live, nationally? For Brohm yes but playing for the Heisman as they have been doing is over for him.. you guys better hope OJ steals another Bronco. This one might get ugly.

  2. If Ohio State loses a game at this point, imo they don't have a prayer for the #2 spot.

It depends on what happens but it will be their first loss assuming they beat Illinois. Of course we are trying to win it to seal the deal. I am very pleased it appears we are headed for BCS on a "rebuilding year."

  3. Terrible... Terrible...Terrible call by Kelly on that fake field goal almost cost them.. not to mention the D let them walk down field. Let the kid kick a 45 yarder which most college kids can and should be able to do.. or at least let your O try to convert the 1st down.

  4. I think if Kansas loses that it will be in the Big12 championship vs. Oklahoma. I also think that will happen.

Ohio St. as got 2 tough ones left. Illinois imo is better than most think. They could make trouble for the Buckeyes but I look for Ohio St. to win. Then comes Michigan and that one in Ann Arbor with a VERY GOOD Michigan team imo will be a toss up. That game may be for Lloyd Carr's job. I'll still have to go with Tressel though but the game could go either way.

Oregon is as stick stated gettig some well deserved notice and LSU is well....LSU ;). Miles imo is an excellent coach but his arrogance in play calling is going to get his team beat again this season I am afraid.

WVU may have say in it but I really don't think that they will make the NC game.

I would think and who knows with the way this season is going that the NC game could be a unbeaten Ohio State vs. a one loss SEC team (LSU) . Should OSU lose and I think that they could, then I possibly see an Oklahoma if they win out and beat an unbeaten Kansas team in the big12 title game. Also Oregon could have a shot.

IMO if LSU wins out they are in (and should be) even with the one loss. After that would depend on if Ohio St. loses - if so I would think Oregon or Oklahoma would step up in the NC game.

Now I have confused myself!!! All we can hope for is a plus one format, I honestly don't think that there will ever be 8 team playoff.

#1 vs. #4 in one BCS bowl with #2 vs. #3 in another and the add a game (plus one) as the National Championship Game a week or so later. This imo we may see bc it wouldn't upset the Bowl schedules.

JMO :confused:and now I need some sleep.

I think the Illinois game is everything. Depending on what happens... by some bizzare miracle that TOSU loses to Michigan we might be able to lock down the #2 spot with 1 loss. TOSU is in excellent position right now and obviously controls their destiny.

  5. You're a funny guy SA. I was asking a question of objective posters.

If I was a UK fan, it would've been about how jealous I was of tO$U's success, but since I'm a fan of a team that has a better history than your team you use present time as a measuring point. Isn't that hypocritcal of your stance that UK is the greatest thing since sliced bread in basketball because of the history of the program? I mean if history doesn't matter in football, why should it in basketball?

Why would Michigan be considered for the title game? They've lost 2 games this year, yet still have a great chance of winning the Big Ten. Florida would've beat up on Michigan last year too, because the Big Ten is a joke of a football conference anymore.

That's the only thing Michigan has is History... living in the past cause the present sucks... I know what thats about I am a UK fan and had to endure the Tubby reign. UK has great history and that's what I and many others fought to get a new guy in to add more titles to the already great history. At some point you gotta wake up though.. it's 2007, going on 08, the Carr has 2 flat tires.

  6. Being an Illini Alum, I just might do that.

However this game turned out exactly as I expected. I predicted a 35 - 10 Buckeyes victory. This week I think the Illini will give OSU a great game, probably thier toughest of the year. It is extremely hard to win at the Horseshoe. I will be cheering for the Illini, but I think the Buckeyes pull out a close one. Something like 17-14.

Good luck to you guys. It is nice to see someone who actually knows one player on the team, or something about the program TOSU is playing.. instead of just hoping TOSU will lose.

Let me be the first to tell you TOSU is not taking Illinois lightly....They are a real up and coming program. If not for that Iowa 4 point loss.. you are a top 25 team right now. I have a lot of friends at TOSU and my cousin is a student trainer. Bucks know they will have to bring their A game! Good luck to you!

  7. So this is setting up perfectly for another tO$U massacre at the hands of an SEC team....

Glad you concede that joke of a team in Ann Arbor won't be considered for a title game. FL would have done the same to Michigan, probably score 20 or so more points last year on them. But getting slaughtered by USC was a nice consolation prize. Keep on driving that Carr!

  8. This truely looks like a new bunch of Cats....A lot of energy, the players smiling, running all over the floor, going after loose balls trying to make plays.

This team should be fun to watch. If I played in the stock market I would buy UK stock soon. We might be at 20 bucks a share but BCG is gonna bring us up to almost a 100 in a few years where we used to be.

Patterson is a beast. Meeks looks like a SR out there.

  9. I am not trying to be a smart aleck because this is a legitimate question. Last year I thought OSU was invincible and that that they would handle Florida easily. I've heard comments that OSU's long layoff did them in in the BCS championship game. I don't buy that because all teams had a long layoff. To me, it seems that the Buckeyes might be the best team in the country right now. My question is: What, if anything, makes this year's team better equipped than last year's to win a BCS championship game?

The defense was younger last year...... and honestly the offense is better this year. Boeckman is more efficient he's 22-23 years old I believe, he's been watching a lot of football at TOSU and finally getting to play.... Wells is better than Pittman. The receiving corp is just as good if not better. Only player I really miss on O from last year is Ginn at this point. And to answer your last question... all of the SEC haters are only fueling this team with supreme... they love it. This team is playing with a real chip on their shoulders.

By the way nobody thought we were going to man handle FL...

  10. I think that OSU will lose the last 2 games of the season. The final score today was not at all indicative of the game. It was 17-17 at the end of the 3rd quarter.

Too bad there are 4 quarters in a football game huh? Last time I checked it was 38-17 TOSU, over #21 Wisconsin.

By the way we loved your last minute comback against MSU.... real dominant! :thumb:
