  4. This past weekend The University of the Cumberlands competed at the Northern Ohio University Invitational placing second overall as a team and having several placers. Among those placers were Ky boys: Wt. 133lb Billy Clark (Sheldon Clark) Placed 7th Wt. 141lb Brad Cooper (Simon Kenton) Placed 1st Wt. 157lb Josh Boggs (Cambell County) Placed 6th Wt. 174 Todd Allen (Larue County) Placed 3rd HWT. Josh Muncy (Sheldon Clark) Placed 6th Other Cumberland Wrestlers Who Placed were: Wt. 125lb Delrico Choates Placed 1st Wt. 149lb Dustin Center Placed 4th Wt. 157lb Jacob Teuschler Placed 8th Wt. 184lb Angelo Price Placed 4th Joey Hagedorn (Cambell County) represented West Liberty College placing 8th at 149lb. Congrats guys and keep up the hard work and thanks for representing for Kentucky Wrestling. :thumb:
  5. Does anybody remember Ben Delong or Moe Spradlin. They were the running backs on the powerhouse Sheldon Clark teams in 1998-2000. They were both very talented athletes. Ben had the size to play D1 ball but not the heart. He was about 6'2 225 and ran a 4.5 but it is a classic example of how most good football players from eastern kentucky don't really do anything after high school except work in the coal mines or something. Most division 1 programs are recruiting out of Texas, Florida, Georgia (mostly Atlanta) and the Virginia beach area. For some reason these areas are putting out great athletes, take Virginia Tech for example they are always a power house Division 1 program and most of their starting line up come from Virginia Beach, Hampton, New Port News area. example- Mike and Marcus Vick.
