  1. I like the guy and I like the way he run's but with his running style (going through guys instead of around them), he takes a lot of hits and I question if he could do this 25 carries a game for 16 games, maybe while he's young, but with that style and all the hits he takes, he will be out of the league in 3-5 years

  2. Do you guys realize he was in the same backfield with Cadillac Williams, Ronnie Brown and Jason Campbell in Auburn's backfield?

I have always liked him a lot I just wonder if he can handle a whole season as a number one. He reminds me of Ron Dayne a little. Bruiser but don't know if he can be a feature back. I would give him his shot for sure though!

I thought he played for Southern IL?

  3. I like Jacques Jones in right. I like Theriot at second. They need to decide what to do in left field (I like Carlos Lee there) and sign a #4 and #5 from a free agent pool that looks like a wading pool in the public park.

Ooops meant left field, Murton is alright, but I'd like to see some power out of that position

  4. I think this will be firts year you won't see this. The Cubs will opt out on Wood and re-sign him only as a reliever. They will build the staff around Zambrano, Hill, Marshall, and possibly Mateo.

To me, priority #1 is resigning Juan Pierre, then worrying about who to plug in at #4 and #5 in the rotation.

Picking up some solid single hitters would be nice too, along with a stable Right fielder as well as figuring out what is going on with short and 2nd.

  5. Sweet Lou...

'Yeah, I've talked to the Cubs,'' said Piniella, who is broadcasting the ALCS for Fox. ''Chicago is a wonderful city. And the Cubs are a very storied franchise. They have great fans. I had a nice conversation with their general manager, Jim Hendry. He's a real baseball guy. We just have to wait and see what happens.

''I've always enjoyed going to Chicago as a player and as a manager. It's truly one of the great cities in our country. Being a part of turning around the Cubs would be a challenge.''

Sounds like he may be interested, its just what the Cubs need, a hard nosed, old school coach! Theres nothing I would love more than to see the Cubs and Reds take the Cental and Wild Card every year...

  6. He says that him and his buddy who both went to school there didnt actually go to the game, they just went to the tail gating, and got sloshed and were listening to the game on the radio and they were "Man we're gonna win" so they took off into the stadium and no one stopped them, he says he walked in like he owned the place, got down on the field and then it all went wrong, I can't wait to see this lol

  7. Still funny to this day...The poor souls on the other end of the field didn't even know what had happened.

Yes he currently is running to his house, apparently he had a cam corder with him while this occured, so he's going to get the tape, he said its "R" rated due to language, I cant wait to see this thing:D

  8. I thought so, too...After that close call with Crittenden last week, I thought

they may be a little weaker than 1st anticipated, but, after this win, they're clearly a team to be reckoned with. Actually Crittenden is playing alot better as of late, after a very slow start to the season, so, maybe last week wasn't that bad a win...

Crittenden is very young has gotten better all season, they have a slew of freshman and sophmores starting both ways, but they pulled off a much needed win last night and gave Metcalfe all they wanted last week, I mean if they continue to play well and keep getting better Crittenden could end up with the 3 or possibly the 2 seed:dancingpa
