I can't stand Duke, but you have to give it to them... they have now won 2 national titles during the Calipari at UK era. I'd say there is absolutely no doubt what state the college basketball center of gravity resides in, and it ain't the Bluegrass.

I can't stand Saban.

You've got to like that ND team! Wow.
Was it just me, or did some of ND's players look like hobbits?

I read somewhere that this guy was given the Urban Meyer Excellence in Community Service Award earlier this year. Wow!

Right now, UK shouldn't want any part of the ACC in this tournament.Told you all I didn't want UK playing NC State. -
Did Calhoun make any comments about how Coach K is ruining the game by recruiting so many one and dones, or recruiting players who are campus rapists?
PP92, you appear to have appointed yourself (or maybe the guru appointed you?) the all-knowing college basketball wizard... Any thoughts?

Yahoo Sports reported that he is expected to transfer to Ohio State this summer.

Is that the restaurant that he knocked up that woman in?I love Ricky P. but he needs to learn to relax. Go home, head to Porcini's and have a drink or something. -
What does PH suffer from?

Wow! No spring football at HHS? That's too bad.
-
When does Highlands begin spring football practice? I imagine it will be soon.
Also, who is the current AD at Highlands? I thought I heard that Dale Mueller was stepping down from this position. Is Dale Mueller still teaching math at HHS, or is he going to be fully retiring form the FTISD?

How many of NewCath's current varsity basketball players reside in Fort Thomas?

What did he say? That's not exactly what he said this weekend. -
No effect... The wheels have been set in motion for Trinity to dominate in KY for as long as they want.

I would say that they are probably safety razors.
I really love this pope's philosophy.
He's a Lefty, right?

Yeah, I'm not really sure I understand why you think basketball success works to the detriment of football. In a school of 570 boys (and growing) along with a new energy at the top, I think it's actually more likely that football takes off on its own high trajectory. Happens all the time at many schools.
What schools the size of CCH has that happened at lately?

I seem to recall that after HHS lost to Collins in the 2013 state title game and Coach Mueller stepped down a week later, there was quite a bit of chatter on BGP that Highlands was going to be entering a period of decline.
Also, I seem to recall that at the beginning of the 2014 season a lot of people on BGP were talking about 2014 being the year that CovCath would knock off Highlands.
At some point (and maybe this year), CovCath will defeat HHS in varsity football. However, the state of Highlands football is currently quite strong, and I do believe that the success currently enjoyed by the CCH basketball program will work to the detriment on the CCH football program. I know many on here won't agree with me, but I do believe it.

I'm surely going to miss the T vs HHS scrimmage. Nice stadium and very classy fans and program.
Who is HHS going to scrimmage?

So, Grant County is not opting out of district play?
-
With Grant County opting out of district play, any idea of who Highlands may schedule to fill the open spot?

You're joking, right?Wouldnt surprise me. They probably deserve a few votes in Monday's poll's. -
As some posters have alluded to already, crowning a champion via a tournament is different than crowning a champion based upon the body of work for an entire season.
In basketball, I don't think any reasonable person would say that UConn and UK were the 2 best teams in college basketball for the 2013-2014 season, and yet UConn and UK advanced to the tournament championship game.

With how young OSU is and with Harbaugh coming in to the Big 10, is the SEC yesterday's news in football?
