  1. Dudley Hilton- Bell CO.

    Phillip Haywood- Belfry

    Sam Harp- Danville

    Ivan McGlone- Russell

    Dale Mueller- Highlands

    Schnieder- N.C

    BOb Redman- Male

I could go on and on about who should, but there are a few that shouldn't be listed.

    Matt Jaggers- not yet

Mike Jackson- will be there someday.

Mike Halcomb ? not very consistent year in and year out.

Ken Roark- 10 or 12 years head coach and 4 good years. 5 years not good

Mike Holcomb may not be as consistant year in and year out.

When you have a smaller school and cannot get the transfers that some of the other schools appear to be able to get, you have to develope the local talent which is a sign of a really good coach!!!!!!

42 wins & 0 losses over a stretch of three years, three state Championships with three different quarterbacks, IMO, takes some pretty good coaching.

  2. For the second time in this years season The Breathitt County Bobcats will be facing The Leslie County Eagles in the playoffs. This will happen November the 3RD at Mike Hocomb Feild. What is your projected score and who will come out ontop this time?

Breathitt has the Offensive tools and I expect that Coach Chapman has refined the Defensive game.

The first game was a defensive struggle with Breathitt coming out on top and I expect the playoff game to be the same.

Breathitt County 21- Leslie County 14.

  3. Good game a real shootout. Just what i expeceted i guess all the hype is true about those red hot jackets

    Really greaat game.

The young Bobcats kept pace with the experienced yellowjackets through most of the game, although I'd rather have seen a better defensive effort on their part.

Middlesboro was the better team and deserved to win:thumb:

  4. All in all, I think that Carter was a good man that just wasn't up to the job due to a combination of circumstances, timing, luck and his own limitations.

I voted for Jimmy Carter simply because he was not like the other Washington Democrats and because Gerald Ford pardoned Nixon.

Carter could not get down to earth things through a LIBERAL congress who appeared to hamstring him.

I still think he's a good man, I just wish he'd keep his mouth shut!!!!!

  5. If that is the case then the Soros-Funded CREW should lose their tax exempt status and should be investigated for withholding information in a potential criminal activity.

My parties Liberal constituents in Congress will keep on bringing up things until something turns out to be true, I'm fairly sure. However their batting record on having somthing that they've picked up and ran with is pretty dismal.

1 The George Bush didn't complete his Air National Guard Service cry floundered miserably.

2 Getting either Cheney or Rove ousted for outing "A CIA AGENT" also failed miserably even though it was announced that there would be an indictment at any time.

3 Blaming Donald Rumsfield for the Sunnis and Shiites killing each other over a religious disagreement and wanting him either to resign or be replaced makes about as much sense as some of them saying we blue up the twin towers on

    September 11, 2001.

After the accusations have been proven to be false, I cannot remember one time when the Congressional Democrats came out with "We Were Wrong!!!"

  6. The score is not indicative of this game. Cawood played a great defensive game and was scoreless until late in the second quarter. Breathitt finally went up by two touchdowns with PAT's. Cawood's quarterback scored on a rushing play to bring the score to 14 - 7.

Breathitt buckled down on defense and wore the Trojans down late in the fourth quarter.

  7. I love the stable at Mercer where they have they have 7 or 8 very good backs. Danville has a corral of backs. I know there are alot of good rushing attacks in the state. Throw in your opinion of the best rushing attacks you have seen this season so far.

This kind of reminds me of the great comic (I can't remember his name) that said "You'd better watch a man that says he's boss at his house because he'll lie about other things also". Just kidding, please don't take me serious.

  8. In my view, Becham Herald from Breathitt is one of the best in the mountains. Also that back from Leslie. Channing Fugate is only a freshman for the bobcats but watch out for him.

Hearld appeared to impress one of the WYMT announcers when he made the statement "someone should be trying to give this young man a scholarship".

  9. Rusty Herald and Ryan Allen on the sideline of Breathitt County are starting to make names for themselves. Herald is a junior with alot of speed and great hands. Allen is not afraid to go over the middle and also has a good pair of hands. Channing Fugate who also plays for the Bobcats is only a freshman but has already made a name for himself around Jackson with some outstanding catches. Look out for these guys they are a blast to watch.

Allen has proven himself by making some spectacular plays to help maintain a record for his Bobcat team of 5 wins against 1 loss. The Bobcats averaged 32.166 points per game over the first six games and held their opponets to 18.5 points per game average.

The problem Breathitt has is that they have so many talented receivers that the passes are spread around to four receivers as well as to the running backs so that the per player average of receptions might not be as high as per a one horse team.

  10. Western has a couple of top notch players and the defense hits hard. But 5 turnovers in the first half and Breathitt giving up two 80 yard TD runs back to back, in the last seconds of the first half and Western's first posession in the 3rd because of missed tackles at he line of scrimage sealed their fate.

Western was definately the better team and their superior speed and experience was evident. The two run backs were the biggest factor along with their returning 15 Seniors compared to Breathitt's 5 of which only 4 played. I don't know about Powell Valley but IMO, Western will be the toughest team the Bobcats will face during the season.

For a bunch of pre-dominantly freshmen and sophomores that made a whole lot of mistakes which the film will point out for them, I believe they have improved greatly over last year and will improve even more because of this tough game.:thumb:

  11. Breathitt has a VERY young team, primarily made up of freshmen and Sophomores, however, the juniors and seniors that they do have are all heart.

I regret that Chris Jackson injured his ankle in the last game because he is a gutsy player.

Breathitt usually has a better Defense than Offense early in the season, this year it is the opposite but I see the Defense improving each game.

If Chris were healthy, I'd say Breathitt by 7 but with him injured, I'll say Breathitt by 3.:thumb:
