I guess we know now that the Lakers are bigger than Kentucky. lol
Also, so much for him and his wife would never want to leave the east coast.
This is not finalized, but I never buy the "coach/player X will never leave Y" crap.
For me, if money is no object, I am Team West Coast > Team East Coast every day of the week and twice on Sundays.

Per Woj, both sides are coming together to talk. This has apparently been the Lakers #1 coaching target through their search.

She sucks.
I'm getting to that point. I was a fan of Reese, but the jealousy is much deeper for her and other players.

"The reason why we're watching women's basketball is not just because of 1 person. It's because of me, too. I want y'all to realize that," said Reese, via GN Sports TV on X.

The players in the WNBA are ungrateful, envious and immature. Plays into my opinion that women don't support other women, in general.
I'm all for physicality, and a little rookie hazing, but that's not what CC is experiencing. Cheap shots, lack of calls and lack of team mate support is what's going on. There have literally NEVER been more eyes on the league.
The one that really bothers me? Her sorry team mates. If you did my team mate like players have done CC just ONE time, I'm head hunting. I wish you would cheap shot one of my team mates...
It makes you wonder about the lack of respect and general resentment her teammates may have for Clark. If they do, her opponents can sniff it out immediately. This cheap shot did occur at the end of a tight game the Fever were holding on to victory with, so maybe next time they play a forearm to the kidneys will come about. It is trending towards Clark needing to stand up for herself to gain some respect, but that can also backfire.

If Bronny is drafted by the Lakers and plays with his dad, God bless them. That's pretty cool. But I do crack up at the flagrant disregard for NBA talent some of these people have. I can't remember who it was, but someone last week was saying that Bronny is just as good as the lesser players on team benches (i.e. the 14th guy on a roster). Let's take the Wolves, for example. Luka Garza got picked up to be on the full-time roster just before the playoffs began. Dude averaged 24 and 9 and was the Naismith Player of the Year in college, and Bronny is just as good as him? And people love to cite Giannis's brother. His brother played professionally in Greece, bounced around NBA teams, and was on their national team. I am not saying he isn't on the Bucks' roster because of nepotism, but it is disrespectful to say Bronny is on his level.

Durant, Booker, James, James?
Is that enough help for LeBron? It'd be great if he ends up with his son, and 8 weeks into the season with the Lakers (or Suns) and LeBron starts passive-aggressively subtweeting about the lack of talent surrounding him because his team is 13-15.

Bronny is staying in the draft and his team has announced he will only work out for the Lakers and Suns.

There’s a great bit out there where Walton is talking about the first time he took the Celtics to a Dead concert.
All except Ainge. His wife wouldn’t let him go.
Watched that clip again yesterday. It's awesome.

When I first got Sirius satellite radio in 2005, he had a show on the Grateful Dead channel that would air on Saturday night, appropriately called, "One More Saturday Night." It was the coolest thing ever and a big reason I love The Dead.
I am not old enough to witness his basketball play, but from all I've consumed, you could argue he was the greatest college player ever and the ultimate "what if" guy had he not been injured. I was always taken with the reverence he had for John Wooden and the love he had for that man.

Great come from behind win for my Celtics last night. They just kept grinding and making plays. Defense and toughness. Big road win as the Pacers had won 11 home games in a row. I believe they said last night no team has come back from down 0-3 to win a conference finals series.
People keep making the comment that the Celtics are getting some luck with their playoff opponents losing key players to injury. But they don't talk about the Celtics being without their #3 Porzingis the entire playoffs.
Big difference in the #1 franchise player on a roster and #3 (Porzingis is probably #4 or #5 for the Celts). The Cs still have two All NBA starters and multiple all defensive NBA players before getting to KP. Having him is just a luxury.

Not disagreeing but who would you have played there instead of Gobert? Who would Dallas have put in the pick and roll if Gobert was on the bench?
From what I gather, Rudy was supposed to funnel him inside the paint like on the previous play, but Luka got him squared up. In short, you have to send someone else at him and make them beat you. If Lively makes a play going at the rim, then so be it.

Luka’s a baaaad man. Put Rudy on skates and then told him how he felt about his defense. 😂
I felt bad for Gobert. That’s coaching malpractice putting him in that situation. You could see that coming a mile away.

Is this for real? I've never seen a progressive discipline structure that involves five rounds of suspensions. What happened to the good ole American oral, written, suspension, demotion, and/or discharge?

I have no clue what happened, but I love the Zapruder film-like attention these videos are receiving.

It's these takes that infuriate me as a minority.
There are PLENTY of opportunities to bring race up, because it's warranted. Caitlin Clark is not one of those and trying to make it that way just makes them look stupid.
To me, it is the race vs racist argument. Acknowledging her race as part of the package is fine, but the defining characteristic of Clark is her game.
-
I look at it different in the basketball realm. Steph is who first think of as a natural comparison and it makes sense. Both are having revolutionary impacts, but Clark is different in that she’s physically able to do what most women can’t (at this time). The guys could physically do it, but it was just a taboo way of playing. Now it’s all you see.

Hill said race (duh) and her sexuality (probably to a lesser degree) played a role in her rise to fame. That is not exactly breaking news or a scorching take. She didn't say she was a bum on the court.
This is on par with someone saying Sydney Sweeny's hotness played a role in her rising to stardom and the faux outrage crowd saying, "Hater. She is only popular because she is a gifted actor!"
While Hill may peddle in the race-baiting game a little much for me, this is pretty tame.

I never pay attention to gas prices as it doesn't impact my life in any way. Meaning, I'm going to drive to and from my job, gym, etc. But I did read last week that prices should start to ease their way down through the 4th.

I do hope he succeeds in the NBA and proves the naysayers wrong. I just hope it doesn’t happen in LA. 😂😂
The whole family seems like good people, even as annoying as LeBron can be. If for no other reason, that’s enough to hope the kid succeeds.

As a Lakers fan I want LeBron off the team because I am ready to move on from the LeBron circus. Adding Bronny to the Lakers just adds to the circus.
I do love what LeBron is doing for Bronny and I hope they achieve their dreams as a family and get to play together for a couple of years. It would be beautiful to see.
Just take that mess to Cleveland if you don’t mind………😂😂😂😂
The LeBron circus was in full force the last week. From him being court side at a Cavs’ game, showing up in person at the combine, then a video crew with boom mics focused on LeBron as he coaches Bryce’s team. Dude loves the limelight. Not sure about his kids, but he is eating it up. Can’t wait until the Lakers hire his podcast partner.

I know right, I can't believe that figure, wow! With that said, Netflix quit allowing multiple people to use one account and it looks like profits are way up. From Google:
The streaming giant said it added 9.3 million customers in the first quarter, bringing its total number of subscribers to almost 270 million. The company also said its profits in the first quarter jumped to more than $2.3bn (£1.85bn). But the firm will stop reporting key subscriber numbers from next year. Apr 19, 2024.
Machine.
Netflix has cornered the international market, where they are seeing their big gains.

Dan Hurley to the Lakers?
in National Basketball Association (NBA)
Posted
The timing of this is odd. The Lakers job has been open for over a month and they're just closing in on Hurley? Keep in mind, yesterday Shams reported it was trending toward being JJ Redick. Redick has been the supposed leader in the clubhouse for a few weeks, but he would finish out his playoff stint with ABC/ESPN and reports were behind the scenes he was assembling a staff. Who knows how this stuff unfolds, but it feels like they went to Hurley, he said no. Redick was the pick but could not come to terms. So back to Hurley. All conjecture on my part.
