make a difference in the game?? I think so. South throws alot and Lincoln pounds the ball using the running game. If the rain comes I think it helps Lincoln. But rain or not.......Lincoln wins this one and will be in the best position in many years for a playoff berth....maybe even to win the district:sssh:
Lincoln 26
South 13

Also heard they put Calhoun at QB and were running more of the WV spread option out of the gun. That could be dangerous.
I talked to a friend who went to the JV game at Lincoln last night, and the varsity was going through practice before the game. HE said that they had Calhoun AND Miller taking snaps.....that is what he said, so who knows who will be playing QB tonight????

Sounds like some sandbagging on Whitley's part. I thought they were as healthy as they had been all year.
Sounds like a lot of sandbagging!!

could be a huge factor for the Patriots. If they can build on last weeks emotional win, it could spell trouble for Whitley. If they try to rest on last weeks laurels...it could spell trouble for Lincoln. Here's hoping Coach French and his staff have them in the right frame of mind.
Lincoln--28
Whitley--12

Just laughing because you said some may have forgotten to win graciously. We are just glad to be winning!!!

You are right and that guy is out of line. After a few losing seasons, people forget how to win graciously. That may be the case for some LC fans. -
I guess in the future that I will just post one sentence posts that are neither interesting or knowledgable. All I have done is post insightful and factual information that I figured the paid members of this site would enjoy. I never make excuses and I just post the facts. Once again, I gave LC all their due, so get off my back please. If you want to pay $15 a year to read posts in every thread that just say's Congrats to one another then so be it, but I feel the majority of the readers on here would like to see the entire picture and get a feel for how the game went. I think you need to look either right or left and get that CHIP off your shoulder because you are really off base here.
I will borrow your quote..."All I have done is post insightful and factual information." I too just post the facts. Lincoln DID kick 3 extra-points and Rock did not. Just the facts.
Good luck to Rockcastle for the rest of the year.

Rock outgains LC in every category except the scoreboard.
Rushing:
Rock 191
Lincoln 101
Passing:
Rock 83
LC 60
Total Offense:
Rock 271 yards
LC 161 yards
Rock had -34 yards also in sacks or they would've had over 300 yards.
I wouldn't have said this was a major upset if you knew anything about either team. LC with some major speed, at their place and Rock banged up missing two starters and dressing only 35 players. Rock needs some depth.
Miller for Rock had 25 carries for 190 yards.
Here is a stat for you.....Lincoln County---3 extra-points......Rockcastle--0
Oh wait.....here is another one---Lincoln County 21.....Rockcastle--18
Give Coach French, his staff, and the players their due--THEY WON!!

Their starting TE and MLB was diagnosed with Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever about 3 weeks ago and was hospitilized and is still recovering. Besides that they have numerous receivers that have broken ribs, concussions, broken collar bones and one of the bigger lineman blew his ACL early on as well. Rock is starting 3 10th graders at NG, MLB and Safety. Not too mention the Center, QB and TB is seeing their first varsity action this year at those respective postions.
Somehow I don't remember Lincoln County making excuses the past few years when they lost to Rockcastle. They just went back to work and continued to try and get better. I'm sure Coach Larkey is not one to make excuses, unlike some.

I am picking this game with my head, my heart, my hands, my feet..........
Lincoln 42
Garrard 0

I will predict Lincoln in an upset......28-14.

What I meant was that there is no way that Jaggers would WANT to leave Mercer Co.!! He has done a wonderful job there in only one year, and those folks do not even want to think about him leaving, nor would they allow it!! No weak jabs intended.
-
To name a few others,Craig Clayton,Marty Jaggers, and Dixie Jones were all born and lived alot of their lives in Caldwell County.
I do not know who WILL get the Caldwell Co. job, but in my opinion, I know who will NOT--Marty Jaggers.

Lincoln led the entire game and they were ahead by 20 points or more during most of the 3rd and 4th quarter. It probably could have been more.

Lincoln goes into Danville and gets the blow out win. Nice win for Lincoln.
