I would say we are too spread out and too few.
We have had several in the past and after the first one @Mr.Network put on they have been small crowds.
That was fun, Guru. Time is flying......that was about 2005.

Supposed to be home.
Right, but if you have to travel this week because of being red, will you have to travel next week if still in the red?

We have 44 cases in the whole county I believe plus we will travel
Will you have to travel next week, too, for the playoffs?

Junior QB Clayton Davis rushed for 205 yards and 3 TDs (unofficially). The kid can flat play.
Just a couple of yards short of 1,000 in 8 games.

Final from Corbin.
No video link this week. Corbin does a PPV stream and won’t let visiting teams stream.

Final from London.
Lincoln led 50-14 at the half. The second half was played with the continuous running clock, and the Patriots played mostly reserves while South Laurel tallied three second half scores.
Lincoln County starts 2-0 for the first time since 2005.

They should let any student who would otherwise graduate, to repeat this school year without regard to age rules, if they so desire.
The reason for it is as much academic as athletic, but I am a proponent of letting this be a redshirt season for whoever wants it.
If you want to move on, move on. If you want to come back, come back.

The least surprising move:
French to Corbin, Greer stays on as DC.
With that said, if this happens you essentially will go from an ascending Head Coach with decades of coaching left to an established Head Coach probably starting the back end of his career.
Would definitely be a different dynamic in Redhound Country.
I have heard French. Puts him back in a District with Lincoln County, where he was head coach 2003-2007 and makes it trade as Boyle gets Corbin’s most recent coach and Corbin gets a former Boyle Coach.

Well-deserved. I hope he continues to excel.

I’ve only heard Pardue and Smith. The rest of the staff is fairly young besides Coach Hester and I doubt he retires before his son graduates.
Hey, now. Coach Hester is NOT old. He is the same age as me.

My records show:
Chuck Smith 212-44 (82.81%) in 19 total seasons
1st Stint
1992-2004 (13 seasons)he was 143-32.
5 straight state titles 1999-03, runnerup 04
2nd Stint
2014-2019 (6 seasons) he was 69-12.
1 state title 2017, runnerup 2019.
In his 9 season absence, Chris Pardue led the Rebels for three seasons and Larry French for six:
Chris Pardue 22-15 (59.46%), no titles.
Larry French 71-11 (86.59%), 2 titles.

Lincoln remains undefeated.

I like Bell High but that wouldn’t even be a lateral move. What would be the reason?

From 1990 to the end of four classes Bowling Green had 5 state championship appearances. They went 1-4.
1994 - Loss to CovCath
1995 - Win over Highlands
2005 - Loss to Lexington Catholic
2006 - Loss to Covington Catholic
2007 - Loss to Highlands
It is to be noted that these teams with the exception of Lexington Catholic (who BG has defeated 3-4 straight times since that championship game) all reside in 5A with BG.
Belfry has a coach with the most wins in KHSAA history, and in my opinion, He would still have the most wins without expansion. Belfry always has talent and I would venture to say if we still had four classes and Belfry was in 2A, they would have the same amount of championships and appearances in the finals due to A+ coaching to compliment A+ players.
Not that it matters but 2007 was the first year of the expanded 6 classes.

If it don't count then why is it called turnover on downs? A punt is not called a turnover on kick. I count them as turnovers as it represents a stop by the defense where the offense did not gain field position.
Ask yourself this. If a team is at midfield and its fourth and 1 in a tight game and they go for it, would you rather them throw a 45 yard pass that is intercepted with no return (which is a turnover in conventional terms) or get stuffed at line giving the ball back to opponent at midfield (which your saying is not a turnover)?
The BC pass at end of half that was intercepted counts as a turnover but was irrelevant in terms of giving ball back to JC (was no different than incomplete pass). The turnover on downs by JC was very relevant. I'm not sure the punt that hit opposing player is considered turnover as Boyle never possessed the ball to turn it over.
I'm arguing semantics here, I know. Your correct in the inference that Boyle made way to many mistakes, but so did JC. No one ever plays a perfect game, you just have to play better than the opponent on a given night. JC did that tonight.
Actually, a statistical turnover occurs during the play. A turnover on downs is really a loss of downs.

Spinning wheel spinning round......won’t load at all for me.

Maybe the comedy missed its mark. Boyle County has its own share of “hollers”, unless they want to cede the Parksville/Mitchellsburg area to Lincoln County.
Is Highlands still a top job?

To be honest, the thing that struck me as an outsider was that hiring the coach that ALMOST beat Boyle County seemed like a major accomplishment for Highlands. As a long time football observer in this state, and someone with huge respect for the Bluebirds, it was a sign of the changing times.
