How much will have to be paid for dropping the district teams? I haven't heard of this happening this close before but I may be wrong.

Accourding to bmustang.com Brossart is dropping its district games and going independent for the 2014 season. With it being June and the season starting in a few months is there a penalty that they will get for doing it. Is that a breach of contract with the district teams they was suppose to play with a short notice I'm sure there arn't many teams that have open games that these teams can fill. Im not sure how it works does the KHSAA have to approve them doing it or how does it all work. Any insight I would appreciate it.
