  1. #10 CCH has its 4th game in 4 days and falls to #2 Boyd Co. at home.

Colonels were low on pitchers. Charlie Dieruf, Miami U commit, coming off an injury, took the loss throwing just 3innings and not pitching much this season at all.

JK McKnight, Morehead, who has only pitched 9innings this year looked steady eddy, pitching 5 innings with 7 Ks, got the W.

Great match up for both teams headed into the final stretch.

  2. Great game tonight in Park Hills with District rivals!

Eli Wagner with the win looked strong and steady, striking out 11, until the last inning when he was well over 100 pitches. Colonels bullpen cleaned it up with Dieruf receiving the Save.

Arrasmith looked decent but recorded the loss and Holt coming in after 4. Sowder with 2 RBIs.

Colonels roll on with a 26-2 record.

CCH’s bats were on, Reardon w a 3R HR, Yuskewich collected 3rbis as well as Dieruf w some big hits.

Colonels play East Carter and then #11 ranked Lex Cath in a double header at Boyd Co.
Hearing it’ll be a rainy day.

Still don't understand why the Atwell kid from Catholic is not getting offers. I get it this list is loaded with guys that have 10+ offers, but the year this kid had was set apart from other kids on this list.

Atwell commited to WKU for baseball in March.  I have heard that is his favorite sport and the school he wanted to play at. Kid is a stud on the ball field.

  7. Dixie Heights jumps into Cincy GCL Big Boy baseball tonight, traveling to Kemcheck Stadium at 5:30.  Moeller is the reigning Ohio State Champs, sports a current 17-0 record with 33 game winning streak.  They have had several close ones the past few weeks going into over-time but somehow they have been able to overcome and get the W.

Moeller's roster holds 5 or so D1 commits. One being Zion Theopolous (LSU)  who very well may be a future MLB stud.

Who will Dixie pitch? Can they break Big Moe's very impressive streak?

I'm trying to make it and will be rooting on the Red Colonels!

  8. Nice win by on a beautiful night for the Colonels, bringing them to a 16-2 record.

Zekl earned his 6th win (6-0, 7 games pitched) sporting a very low ERA. Team ERA is top 5 in the state.

    Dieruf w a 2R HR and Reardon w 2 hits, 2 RBIs.

Everett Hall took the loss w 6 ER.

The two meet up again for a fourth time this weekend.

Kaiden Robbins took the L for SK.

Pioneers play Cooper next and Dixie meets NCC, both in the Doc Morris Invitational this week/weekend.

  10. Cov Cath looked comfortable all night at the final game for the Mike Epplen “Dirty Hat Classic” at TMU/Florence Ya’lls Stadium.

Eli Wagner went 6 impressive innings for the W and Charlie Dieruf came in to close it out. Alex Yuskewich was dominate at the plate, going 3 for 3 and an RBI.

Carson Shea looked good but got the L, staying in for 5 innings.

I was told Ben McEvoy has dropped football for for his senior year as well. McEvoy was a really solid utility player to have on the team...

I agree and hate it for the team. He’s a great football stud.

Heard he’s trying to follow in Dads footsteps (Casey was in Reds minors until injury) with baseball and will play fall baseball.  Word is he can throw 90mph but I haven’t seen him on the mound this year for CCH.

  12. CCH Senior, Caden Miller, has announced he'll take a Gap/Prep School year at Moravian Prep in NC.

Miller was D1 POY and joined the 1,000 pt club this year.

I believe he had offers from Arkansas and EKU with interest from UC and XU.  Wondering what the extra year of play will do for his recruiting? I am unfamiliar with Moravian and the Overtime Elite leage.

  13. Great game in Park Hills with a big crowd tonight!

Eli Wagner, got the W, he looked great on the bump after being injured last season. Dieruf closed it out, got the Save, looking sharp, striking out 3 of 5 batters.

Ryle’s Eppley w the L, also pitched Curry, Mann and McIntyre.

Zekl had the lone hit for the Colonels and 2RBI.

    CCH is now 10-0

    Ryle 4-5

  14. Bradley Zekl wins Cincy Reds MVP of the game and will be honored onfield at a Reds game with other local high schoolers.  Great event last night with the Reds providing announcers, Skyline games and giveaways, etc.

Zekl put on a clinic, hurled a complete game, 2 hits........no runs, no walks, no wild pitches.

CCH moves to 9-0 and takes on Ryle on Friday.

  15. Dixie asserts itself with a big time walk off win vs PBRs #5 team!
Ryle Cullen with 3 hits, the walk off and 2 RBIs.

Brach Rice started and Staton gets the W.

Ryle used Sanders, Ashcroft and Curry (L).

    What a game!
