  1. Dixie came to Hebron and took care of business. Dixie got an INT on the 1st drive of the game, then followed it up with a TD pass to Beach. Conner answered and got the two point conversion. Dixie’s Gregg had the games next 4 Touchdowns, before Conner found the end zone again in the 4th quarter. Dixie’s Blank had a catch and was downed at the 1 for Anderson to punch it in.

Somewhere in that mix, Rice blocked a Conner FG attempt.

Agreed .. those 35 yard passes to gain 5 yards are a recipe for disaster. Pick 6 written all over it.

I don’t understand it. Highlands almost had 1 in the 1st.

2DLmen is a head scratcher for sure.

Not only out numbered in the box but then decide to use no beef up front is crazy.

It’s hard to prepare for a huge running QB. You can’t really simulate it in practice full go.

What you can do is make the other team’s offensive line have to work. Dixie used 2 defensive linemen the whole night with 4 linebackers (2 walked up), and 5 DBs. sent the house every play. Highlands would come to line see who they had and boom. You know why? Because 1 they are bigger upfront and 2 Dixie had 6 in box compared to highlands 7/8 in the box.

Lefts flip over to the offensive side.
You know the other team only gives up 65 yards rushing a game compared to 275.5 yards in the air. You come out and think the run going to work nope. When Dixie threw it, it was from one hash to the other side of the field past the numbers 5 yards down the field. That’s a far throw with no time to create any separation. Now when the middle of the field is open all night and you only throw it there 3 times ( 2 to the TE for 2TDs and 1 slant) that’s a problem.

  4. I think Dixie will find the end zone on special teams this week, most likely kickoff return. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a blocked punt.
I personally think Highlands DBs matchup well against Dixie’s WRs. If Gregg has time and puts the ball where it needs to be like he can do then it will open up the run game for him and Anderson.

I know this Dixie group is ready for Friday, I just hope they Start strong and finally finish a game.
