Great signing for WKU.

No. Greenwood, while not very good, is a 5A school and has played a much tougher schedule than UC.
plus GW would not schedule a lower class team if it didn’t feel confident it’s a team it could beat. That’s their strategy trying to schedule wins.
Man, you’re hilarious. Greenwood (probably most years) is one of the best, if not the best, 3 seed in any class in any district. They have 2 perineal powerhouses in the district. It’s hard for BG, SW and GW to schedule games around here. I applaud all 3 schools for finding games against the O Caths, Union Co, Lou Moore’s, St. Xs, etc.
BTW…. #58 for Union Co. is an absolute beast on the field. I enjoyed watching him play defense the other night. What a hitter.

Ugly by mid 2nd qtr.

Greenwood’s strength is their ability to defend the run. I see them stopping FS running game and winning.

I don’t think Bowling Green will be able to run the ball affectively against the South defense, therefore, that is my reasoning for thinking Bailey will have more passing yards. I think the south will win a close game.
-
Greenwood took the opening kickoff back for a TD. A penalty negated it. They proceeded to snap it over the QBs head for a safety 2-3 plays in. 9 point swing in less than a minute. After the free kick, they forced SW into 3rd and forever. Button finds his receiver for a long td., around 50+ yds. The wind was gone from GW from that moment on, I feel like. They couldn’t get anything going on offense and couldn’t stop SW passing game.

Should be a packed house, since the remodel has temporarily taken away the visitors seating.
GHS will for sure have to stop SW passing game, or it’ll be a long night. G has to find a way to get Elmo the ball more, and of course Tel Tel needs to make some plays. Gonna be a tall order for my Gators. -

I don't know about all that. I am trying to propose what I think is best for the children involved.
As a parent of a special needs child, I’ll say that’s the last thing any school system should need.

That next level is beating BG, which my Gators have never done. 0-thirty?? in the school’s history. Good teams, playoff wins, etc. They have never gotten over that hump.

Really surprised how GW manhandled W East. This is easily their biggest test so far. They will have to control the ball a little offensively.
-
East certainly passes the get off the bus test. GW’s defense really put the clamps on the East offense, giving up only 1 td. They did, however, give up another kickoff for a touchdown, which is the third one they give it up this year.

I know Greenwood is practicing 5:30-7isham this week. There’s so much liability in this day and age, every precaution should be taken.
-
Greenwood’s field is new turf. They are getting a total remodel… new field, Health and Wellness Center, etc. Field is done so they will be able to play on it. The Wellness Center hasn’t been started yet. They had a hiccup with a large sinkhole that had to be fixed.

Disciplined, play hard, athletic, defend, well coached. They have what can win it all.

In hindsight, mayfield should’ve let the beechwood rb score on that long run. They would’ve gotten the ball back with time, down 8. I know there’s no way to tell the kid that at the time, I was saying it to the tv lol

Dude - he’s a good player and he doesn’t deserve the minimizing you do. Come on, give some respect to him.
These aren’t even Greenwood fans that are pumping him up.
He can’t. He’s done it all year. He hates GWood. We get that. He’s just a Purple you know. Bigger and better at BG

Fools gold lol. Greenwood is a good football team, they just won’t have the team speed to stay with O for 4 qtrs.

Matchups like Barren County at Henderson County for a playoff game should never happen, This is a predictable train wreck. Henderson County scores 60-70 points in this game. Barren County is one of the worst 6A teams in the state.
How about decrease the number of districts and have districts with 6-8 teams. Then take only the top 2 teams in each district for the playoffs.
0-10 Teams like Oldham County and Lafayette make the playoffs? Really!
And how about we insert a human element into the rating process for playoff seedings like the AP poll?
Bingo, but maybe figure out a way for top 4 teams.

Greenwood beat South Warren in 2016. South Warren was the #1 team in 4A. This one will rank up there for the Gators.
Maybe Warren County schools will start an indoor facility for the Gators now. They are actually starting renovations as soon as the season is over. New turf, indoor, etc.

From what I watched South was the better team but turnovers hurt them bad in the second half. Greenwoods offense wasn’t consistent moving the ball like SW, they just got the lucky breaks they needed. I would rather play GW than SW in playoffs.
They did get some lucky breaks, especially with penalties. But, they also forced some big turnovers and had a huge, huge defensive stand inside the 10 up 1 score. Great win for the Gators.

SW will load it up to stop the run and probably will. Huff is gonna have to throw it better against SW than he did BG. The offensive line is gonna have to give him more time.
