Coach Johnson no longer part of the Highlands football team.

Johnson’s one season with Lloyd was riddled with similar issues. Explaining why he was only there one year. The arrogance and disrespect toward the rest of the staff was very divisive.

Officials have nothing to do with this! If grown men can’t act like grown men and control their players, that they are suppose to be leading by example, that’s on them. What in the world would an official have to do with a Lloyd assistant AFTER the game shoving a head coach!?!?
officials lost control of the game. I was describing the atmosphere. Also clearly condemned the adults. The officials were bad. Both ways. Simple as that. That atmosphere bled all over the arena. Players coaches and fans. All should be ashamed.

Anyone know what exactly happened at the end when they were shaking hands? It got pretty heated between both coaches and they had to be separated.
Well it was super chippy all game. Players were talking and playing rough. Referees did an awful job controlling the situation. It finally boiled over. Lloyd has an assistant who used to be with Newport. This coach refused to shake Coach Snaps hand, but Snap reached down and shook it anyway. Lloyd asst shoved him, and chaos ensued. I’m a big Lloyd guy, but the end really felt like sore loser behavior. Congratulations to Newport. Excellent team with a great opportunity ahead.

Since you felt so strongly about posting that please enlighten everyone on the adult who put their hands on a player.
It was the head coach. This was seen by many. Including myself

I like Lloyd in this game and being at home is a huge bonus.
I wish there was going to be video of this one.
Download an App called “859 insider” Lloyd streams on there.

Absolutely no chance of a quarterback change.

Also heard the big RB has transferred from HC, had like 950 yards last year as a Soph is now at Scott in Taylor Mill. @nkypeteCan you confirm this?
I can confirm he did transfer.

Beechwood coaches telling people behind the scenes they have him.

Not sure I buy into that. Can a D-1 school publicly offer a Freshmen?
They certainly can as he has received his second now adding Duquesne to the list.

So only with the knowledge of what I read in this post, game high 18 points, went to the bench early and often, it appears he just played the game. Using his whole bench. Are they supposed to just hold the ball and not shoot? Is there more to this story?

That’s big for Lloyd that Davis is back. Who are the other two that missed that game?
#3 and #21. There names have never been mentioned here and I don’t wanna rock the boat and give names I’m not supposed to. I am friends with the Davis family so I know it’s ok to mention him.

Yessir! I'll be right here....and I've been wrong before and lived to tell about it...but I don't think I will be this time. I'm the last guy who will tout "Dave Faust is so great...," but his teams do defend, play hard and together, and that recipe will beat the Juggs. Frankly, I think the better story is Lloyd makes it back to the 9th Region Tourney with their young star, but alas, I don't think it comes to fruition.
You should be aware senior guard Ryan Davis is back, and so are 2 other key players that missed that game. This one will be so much different.

I watched Lloyd a couple times early in the season, was impressed somewhat by them. Have seen them a couple time more recently, just looks to me like they're moving backwards instead of forward. As a reminder, I liked them over St. Hank last week. Highlands by 18 plus.
This didn’t age well….

Lloyd final shot against Cooper did NOT go in. Rolled around the rim and came out. Some fans were confused in the moment, but it definitely missed.

Thanks for this information.
This needed correction tells me all I need to know about your shortcomings on the Juggs outlook for the season. I look forward to revisiting this post each week as they make that assessment look silly.

Because Cov Cath is the most hated school in the area..... And it isn't even close.
Beechwood is the most hated school in NKY.

I can’t see any reason the result would be different.

No excuse for this type of behavior

Lloyd, Newport, Holy Cross are in a 3 way tie in district play. Can anyone explain how the RPI might shake out?

Please explain if you can Lloyd's district scores.
I ask the same of @nkypete for Holy Cross.
Lloyds district scores.
Newport played their best game of the season and we choked.
Holy Cross game was pure domination.

I told y’all in the other thread not to sleep on the fellas in this one….

I asked last week and got no response…so I’ll ask again. What in the world is going on at Lloyd?
Easily the most disappointing season vs expectations in NKY this season.
Injuries, Covid affecting roster, not very deep in a lot of positions. Last years QB gave up football to concentrate on his track career (4 time state champ pole vaulter) this was a very big factor. And I personally feel they schedule “over their heads” 6A Dixie, 5A Grant County, 5A Boone County, 5A Montgomery County. They aren’t built to play those large schools. All that said, the Newport/Holy Cross game was crazy unusual, Newport was missing their best player and multiple starters. I wouldn’t chalk this game up for the Indians so fast….

The disrespect for the Juggs in this post is sad. Grown men judging children. Children who have played the schedule handed to them and done nothing but win, and win with class. This schedule was written over a year ago when Lloyd was a 2A team. When the have an inferior opponent they beat them handily as would be expected. The defense is stifling. Only giving up 2 TDs all season before starters have been pulled. Let me remind Sebastian is a BACKUP quarterback. 2 seasons in a row the scheduled starter has had major injury in the very beginning of the season. This team wins and plays high school football the right way. The jealousy of the “blue bloods” is comical. A small school making big noise. Respect has been earned.
