Boyd is the pick. I am totally puzzled how he doesn't have a high level D1 baseball scholarship. He is arguably player of the year in the entire state.
Agree on all counts here. Boyd had (is having) a tremendous season.

I’d put Ryle over Conner and Highlands over Beechwood.

"we can easily make a return to Commonwealth Stadium"
My comprehension is fine. But's it no biggie. Just some off season "funnin" with CCHWY. I like some new blood in 4A.
I didn’t say WHO needs to work on reading comprehension (in this case it was me). Can’t wait for the season!

Well, I guess we will just have to figure out who their opponent will be.
I think we need some work on reading comprehension. The original comment was comparing the 2023 Colonels to the 2022 and 2021 Colonels. No one said they expect CCH to win anything easily….except maybe a hypothetical game against their own team the last two years.

If so has that ever been done by any class in the playoffs?

CovCath 2017. Running clock against every KY team they played. Beat Madison Southern 49-13 in the final.

With everyone casted, bandaged, and out for one reason or another at COV CATH, it would be nothing more than a miracle for them to win this game against Ryle, its going to more than a Few Hail Mary's and Our Fathers tonight. Maybe the Rosaries in their Helmets?
This isn’t aging well.

Why not mention it. They looked uninspired to me and it showed. I also mentioned the ball security issue which apparently followed them into the next morning.
Mention what you want. My point is don’t say “no excuses” if you that’s why you are mentioning it.

Just my opinion, but I think a few of the HHS JV boys may have been up a little late celebrating. I know the parent crew at the game was a little rough at 10am. Just sayin. No excuses though, ball security was the topic of the weekend for the Birds for sure!
Then why mention it?

It would be interesting to know how many sophomores each team had start in the varsity game last night that didn’t play in the JV game today.

Great investment for the Colonels. Coach A sounds like he is really engaging with a large portion of the student body - great to see!!

Was he injured part of the year?
Yes. He was blindsided by a helmet to the chin well after the whistle at the start of the second quarter against Highlands. Missed the rest of that game and the Beechwood game the following week.

Starting 7 kids both ways doesn’t sound like a very good way to develop, or retain kids. Or keep them healthy…
Seems to have been yielding some pretty good results.

Two more starters out as of today for CovCath frosh…gonna be interesting against Highlands tomorrow.

Did they play Elders A team or B team? I believe in years past Elder has had two freshman teams. Either way it is still a good win though.
It was definitely their A team….they have 80ish kids on the freshman roster and all 80ish were on the sideline.

Anderson High School in Cincinnati, not Anderson County. Was on the calendar for yesterday but Anderson cancelled last minute.

That’s fine, continue embarrassing yourself, makes no difference to me.

I guess I missed something, I went to CovCath website to purchase the digital tickets for tonight’s game. It says you need a passcode. So I emailed the the tickets @covcath.org and got a response saying that Highlands provides the passcode. Is CovCath not doing the Boxcast thing like they did for the 3 regular season home games? I’m trying to give them money for the game tonight but if they don’t want it then I guess I will simply listen to it. Anyone know what’s going on? I like to watch the game on tv tonight.
Go to CovCath.org/CAN. Scroll down to video streaming and you can buy tonight’s broadcast. Here is a screenshot:

Why make it 16? Make 8 and get it over with. Let the other teams play additional game. Name a team in the bottom half of the 16 that has a chance? The more time this takes, the more likely the virus will cost someone who has a real chance at winning.
Frederick Douglass in 5A (9th in RPI) is one....
