Eminence has a solid guard in Ruzanka. He’s the only reason they’ve been able to cross the ball past half court at all tonight. If I had to guess eminence played hard, and williamstown was not on their “A game”.
I’d say you are correct. Early in the season, still figuring things out.

That’s a good question.

That’s a good question. But if they were to play again, I’d say Williamstown would win heavily.

When asked which team in the 32nd is underrated and most dangerous? All four coaches say Williamstown.

It is definitely possible, it’s a huge toss up in 3 teams, and Williamstown is capable of knocking one of them off.
I agree with 4 quarters. I’m not sold on GC coming out of 32nd as champions. My gut tells me WV but not surprised if SK takes it. As for Williamstown, the BIG IF is if those three guys click at the same time and the coaches know and understand who butters their bread. If that happens, they could win. For sure.

Shows what I said. Find it yourself on NFHS network.
NFHS network isn’t the only film. Other angles prove it. Before I talk, I know what I’m talking about first.

Yeah and yours is wrong.GC kid was standing still. Fagan came up to him chest bumped 2 times and pushed GC kid. Absolutely dead ball foul on Williamstown.
Watch the tape. It’s all there buddy. Film don’t lie.

Ask SK coach and he will tell you they aren’t a rivalry when comparing the wins and losses. GC has dominated Williamstown for years and years. To me a rivalry is almost split with wins. Almost. But yes I agree with you, SK and WV makes for good basketball. But I don’t know if they are “rivals”. Good points you have. Good debate. But I’m sticking with my original “whine” lol and the refs showed favoritism and wouldn’t call obvious fouls. As for the Feagan kid getting heated after the dirty blow, can’t blame him. He actually responded by taking it to the kid drawing the foul and one. But it’s over and done. It was a good game mostly and Williamstown played extremely hard and actually looked like they wasn’t afraid and wanted it.

Bigger pool of kids does not always make a difference. Many A schools compete with 6a schools in basketball all the time. This means Williamstown and WV are more of a rivalry than GC and Williamstown?
The only reason it’s a rivalry is because it’s the only two schools in the county. Bigger pool of kids would almost certainly make a difference. Even WV has a better pool, and bigger. But I certainly appreciate your take on it.

I've come up short all my life, maybe by a quarter, but not by three quarters.

What I saw with my own eyes was the GC kid chest bump the Feagan kid and then the retaliation. I always thought the closeness of schools help generate a rivalry. Size of schools have nothing to do with a rivalry game. Every basketball game I have ever watched, only 5 kids could play at one time, maybe I've been missing something.
Bigger pool of kids. I guess I’m making the story up. Lol no way they play dirty, right?
-
That Feagan kid was smacked in the balls on purpose by that Utter kid. He won’t back down. Always two sides to the story my friend. And how is it a rivalry when one school is four times bigger? Never mind being a few miles apart.

Although there is no way it is a 19 point difference?
The final score shows a 19 point difference, but it was a lot closer than that. Williamstown couldn’t hit a 3 all night. They’re just going to have to play is dirty as GC. if they would’ve hit a few threes in the third quarter it could’ve changed the momentum. they held their own, but just ran out of steam. And I mean it, the refs showed a lot of favoritism.

Yeah, I agree, Willamstown did get a lot of breaks.
Williamstown got a lot of breaks? That’s hilarious.

A lot of missed calls on one end the whole game. A lot of favoritism.

Go watch CovCath beat the snot out of Bracken and humble them boys.

Thank you for clarifying. I remember watching Nick play. He was a fine player on a good team.

Congratulations. Any relation to Nick Feagan who played at Ryle in the early 2000’s?

Williamstown taking care of business with a team that may be short, stature-wise, but which is long with experience. Coach Cheesman has been building to this year.....we'll see if the players can take things to the next level.
He’s got three good ones. Pick your poison.

Low score.

Yangoua has game. The 11 Feagan has always been a shooter and competitive. That 10 Feagan has stepped it up. Good all around player. When’s the last time Williamstown had three very good players the same season?

I agree. They seem to play good together and good chemistry. I think the three guards don’t get kudos enough by the writers in this region.

Good win for the Demons to start the season.

Another interesting game to see if the rematch with WV and Williamstown. Was that last game a fluke? WV overhyped? Or Williamstown a lot better?
