The only issue you run into this is that this practically fills teams schedules. 17 games against your regional opponents, and an extra 3-4(on average) games for the second district game.
That’s already over 20 games, Christmas tournaments will make it 23-25. Then you only have a few games left to schedule.
We would miss out on a lot of big time games with the better players in the state. (CovCath and North Laurel twice a year for example).
Get rid of the dumb Christmas tournaments. You know how many parents I heard say it would have been nice to go on a family cruise or a trip to somewhere warm or wherever but they are locked in committed to these darn Christmas tournaments.

Which is why every team in the region should play at least once and district games should be twice, excluding All A for small schools.

I believe the coaches just vote names, but will send out emails to all the other coaches before hand pleading their case for certain players on their team to get a vote.
And some coaches who don’t check or send emails lol

I happen to agree with you. Both Breeden and Feagan got screwed out of this one. I mean what more would those two have to do? And here’s something 90% of who voted doesn’t know. Both of them are great students and just all around great young men. Hope this doesn’t discourage them.
If Krohman is on that list then Feagan definitely should have been.
If Gutman is on there, then Breeden definitely should have been.
That’s why it’s important coaches to read your emails and submit your vote.

There are a few suprising names left off, one being Luke Amburgey. Some others to name would be Kellen Dossett, Colton Feagan, and Brax Ward.
I think a couple of these guys deserved it more than some of the list, however I’m not in the voting group for a reason lol.
Guess it’s who you know and…..

I could definitely see Feagan from Williamstown and Spencer Breaden from Grant getting some votes.

Congrats to the younger brother. He is playing very well and playing like a top level player in the region.
-
Both brothers scored their 1000 point this season for Williamstown. Great accomplishment.

Last night was Coach Cheesman’s 50th win as head coach of the Demons, passing Roger Harden for 8th all-time in the school’s history, according to the KYHSBB Encyclopedia.
Thanks for the fun fact.

Colton Feagan lead the way with 29 points. He’s playing excellent this season and and is proving to be elite in this region. Doesn’t matter if the team wasn’t good. You score 29 and look at the season stats he’s putting up, that’s saying something.
Gunner finished with 24. 6 Threes.
Yangouoa finished with 16.
Nice commentary Colonel Mike. -
Per scoreboard.
Stats? -
It really pains me to acknowledge this but GC wins. I hope SK can pull it off but they only have one true threat. And he better be on fire. If Big guy also shows up, he will have to be aggressive and not miss layups and miss dunks after being barely touched.

Per scoreboard.

SK even if Dixon was playing.

Lol. Demons will be right back in it come tournament time.
Depends on which Demon team shows up. They have solid guard play. Just lacking depth and experience. Their point guard is solid. One of the best in the region. Sees the floor well. Great shooter. Battles for rebounds. Good passer. Wonder if he’s being looked at at next level?

I guess my gut was correct...
Yes it was. Tip my cap.

WV hot from three. Not even UK could have beaten them tonight. Not everyone from Williamstown showed up to play but even if they did, still wouldn’t have won with all those threes.

Coach Simpson will have them ready.

I could see it don’t get me wrong, but I’m just predicting WV shooting lights out at home like they always do.
That’s why you get paid the big bucks!

Negative on that lol.
You know your prediction is probably right. But I don’t think they will blow them out. Hard to beat a good team on their own floor. But my gut tells me it’s close and down to last possession again.

Agree with everything you said, but my gut is telling me WV by a lot this game. Not sure why lol, just got the feeling WV will shoot lights out in their own gymnasium and give Williamstown troubles. Doesn’t take anything away from the 32nd, it could very well be the most interesting district to watch come tournament time.
You must be a WV alum lol. (I’m GC)

I think it will be the same kind of game, unless WV is hot from 3 land. For WV to be effective they have to score a lot with the 3. I stated before the season began that Williamstown would be somewhat better than some people might expect.
Yes I agree. They’re definitely not a cake walk this season. Tall guy in the middle can block shots and step out for the three. Honorable Youngway can get to the rim but struggles outside. The Fegan senior is dangerous outside and can drive for a nice mid range and then his brother can do it all. He’s probably much overlooked in the whole region. He’s a solid and nice player.

Oh and not to mention the June ball experience.
There is plenty time to make memories and bond. Christmas should be left for families to make memories. But we’ve gotten off into the weeds. The point is there is definitely some players who got screwed out of an award. But boys if you’re reading this, it doesn’t take an award to measure your success.
