It’s clear enrollment size at DCA will not mean much.
Exactly 😂

Coach Young does a great job, and his teams are always prepared. The same could be said with his teams at Garrard. If I was an AD and I had a coaches opening he would have to be toward the top of the list of phone calls I’d be making. The way he gets his best players open looks is impressive.
Agreed. He works hard at it, as some coaches look to just get a load of talent and hope they carry them to a championship. Which obviously by tonight’s outcome, isn’t enough.

Maybe Coach Story should watch Coach Inmon and take a couple lessons on how to use your post players.
I would not watch Coach Inmon 😂

DCA was up 7 with around 46 seconds to go. Melt down is an under statement. They missed some free throws, but coaching, man. Obviously one team in this game has went over late game situations, and one team hasn’t. And that one team, is going to the championship. Coaching matters people. Oh, and Whitaker is a stone cold killer.

Coaching. Coaching. Coaching. No way DCA should have lost that game. Congrats to coach young and the jumpers!!! Go win you a ship!

Ryan Young can coach. That is all.

Yes, for some. No, for the best teams. Two sets of rules.
No other way to put it besides this right here.

I've always said this. It's almost like clockwork..."biggest jackpot ever" and "winner in California" go together every single time. Happens way too much to call it a coincidence.

@Colonels_Wear_Bluebeat me to posting today's news about the rifle and Nick Houck.
Something else I read was that somehow the Houck's had recorded grand jury proceedings. WHAT? How did that happen?
If I'm not mistaken, Brooks Houck sister was on the grand jury?
Allegedly he gave her a recording device and told her to record testimony (which is closed).
These dudes seem like the absolute worst.

I think Fugate and Imfeld are the same players. Spot up shooters and both not great defensively. Still a great get for DCA.
Not even close to the same players. Fugate is a slasher guard that can get down the lane and distribute. He definitely will make this team better. Very good on defense as well, not sure where you’re getting that.

I don’t think there’s a better coach out there than Jackson, but there’s virtually no chance they’ll win region this year. Just don’t have enough overall talent.
I agree the talent discrepancy is there compared to his traditional teams, but he is ALWAYS in the mix and has his guys rolling come March. Just won't be surprised to see them make a run.

Garrard can win if they take care of the football and limit the big plays from Drakeford and Mays.
Garrard has an absolute WEAPON in kicker Zak Dailey, who is money from 40 yards and in.
I'm a homer, so I'm picking Garrard 24-21.
Dyehouse Stadium will be packed, I can guarantee ya that. This community loves their friday nights, especially when it's for the district championship.

Mercer County travels to Dyehouse Stadium at Garrard County friday night for a HUGE district showdown. District Championship on the line...who you got?

If Quisenberry played at Boo Hoo Heights in 1A, he would have 15+ D1 offers. When you have the talent, D1 will find you.
Correct.
Tavi got all these offers, not his coaches at BC. I love hearing people say that though, it’s comical. They would have built a statue of him at GC 😂
He’s an A+ kid, A+ student and a generational talent. I can promise you there is not a more respectable player in the country when it comes to his attitude, demeanor and work ethic.
He could play at the open hay field behind Crab Orchard elementary, and these D1 coaches would take a private jet and land in Amish country to see him.
BC wants the credit, though. 😁

Projected starting lineup- Quisenberry (Garrard Co.), Brown (Danville), Turner (I think Casey Co.), Hager (Mercer Co/DCA). I'm not sure who the 5th starter would be. Bodner could be 5th, and I believe he is originally from Boyle Co. Pretty solid projected team.

Boyle County should really just dress the JV.
So, just dress all the kids originally from the Boyle school district? 😁

I think this one is closer than people think. This heat is going to take a toll on both sides pretty quickly. Corbin wins, but I think by less than two scores.

Kasey is a good coach and really well liked by everyone at Mercer. He would do a good job there but ultimately a tough district for Garrard to have post season success.
I mean not really, they have teams that can compete in the district most years. Keep Boyle from taking your kids year in and year out and this years season looks a lot different. 😁
Kasey will succeed immediately and build the program the right way. Home run hire for GC.

I've heard interviews haven't even been conducted yet, just phone calls, so anything being spread is rumor only. I'd say it's down to a guy with a whole lot of wins under his belt, or a fresh face that is local to the area now.

Have heard a couple possible candidates. Last years freshman coach Eric Bennett who also was the former middle school coach. Also possibly a current 12th region head coach.
Heard it's all but a done deal today.

It’s also super weird they call the main guy the “headmaster”…seems like they could find a better name for the guy running the place. Just my immature two cents.
