  1. My observations on today's game:

    - I think the Bengals were sitting in the locker room before the game, and they looked around at the players that were playing today because of all the guys out injured, and felt they had no chance. They came out of the gate today like they knew they were going to lose. They didn't show any life until the Browns started punking them. Then they finally got mad and started playing with an edge. They played better after that but they truly were outmanned today.

    - Auden Tate showed us why he doesn't play more. Yes, he made one nice catch but his routes were bad all day and he had a drop that no NFL receiver should drop.

    - Billy Price was terrible today. He had four bad snaps, including the one that the Browns ran in for a score. He got blown up multiple times. Very disappointing game out of Price.

    - Dalton was off all day today. He missed throws he has been making all year. I think he knew he was going to get pressured because of the line situation today and that was in his head from the start of the game.

    - Joe Mixon cannot be trusted to run the ball in short yardage situations. He has to lead the league in negative yardage runs, and most of them are his fault, not the line's. Sometimes you just have to dig in, run up the blockers' backs and tough out a couple yards instead of trying to bounce it out.

    - To JOAT's comment above about Hue taking over next year, the Bengals will not draw 30,000 fans a game if they make that move. I will be shocked if they hire Hue as head coach.

I don't know why you would EVER be shocked by what Mike Brown does. He flat out doesn't care what the Cincinnati fans think and how many seats he sells as long as the Brown family is making money. He is stubborn as a mule and will take this team to his and it's grave. He will only have someone coach the team that will kiss his you know what and he will never give up the control of the team to someone that could take it to the next level.

  2. I thought that U.K. showed some improvement today. Offensively, they moved the ball around, looked for one another much better. Defensively, there's still a long way to go.

Like others I think that this group will continue to get better. When January / SEC play comes, imo we will see a much better team and one that will continue to improve throughout the season.

I agree their high/low game looked liked they have been working on things like that as well. They are going to have to get better by SEC time given their tough SEC schedule. The announcers said their schedule has them playing ranked Auburn, Tennessee and Mississippi State all twice. They play Florida and Vandy twice as well and they always give them fits especially on the road.

  3. I didn’t think Gonzaga could beat Duke but figured they’d make it interesting. But with the exception of poor free throw shooting in the final minutes they looked very impressive. When they get their injured guard back in December they’re going to be even better. He was their leading scorer and 3 point shooter last season.

They may be the team that goes undefeated, especially playing in a weaker conference than the other ranked teams.

I knew that statement was coming soon.

  4. Not sure I would say the Reds got burned on the Latos trade. They got some really good years out of him and then flipped him for Disco.

I said it when it happened and I'll say it now, he wasn't worth 4 first round draft picks. They got 2 good years and 14 wins each year out of him and depleted their minor leagues of good young talent that could have been used for other trades. It was a reach to try to win now and it failed. 3 of those players they traded away are still in the bigs and producing 6 years later. Where is Latos?

  5. It sounds like Hue may come back in a role as assistant head coach in charge of game management. That frees Marvin up to focus on calling the defense as DC. Considering the Bengals have two games left with the Browns and the situation with Marvin calling defense now, I am ok with the move. Every Bengals fan will agree that Marvin could use some help with game management.

However, if this turns into Hue Jackson becoming the next head coach, it burns down every good change Mike has made over the past few years. People want to complain about Mike but the Bengals organization today is a lot different than it was. If they bring in 3 win Hue then hire him as coach to replace the winningest coach in Bengals history, that all goes out the window and it is back to the stone age.

I've got news for you, it's never left the stone age contrary to what you and others on here keep trying to convince people of.

  6. I don’t know where to put this, but the Bengals are bringing back Hue Jackson this year. Title has yet to be determined but I would imagine something along the lines of co-OC/ consultant. Certainly an interesting dynamic since the Bengals still have to play Cleveland twice.

Meet your next head coach and some of the peoople on this site don't think the Bengals are a dysfunctional family. What a joke.
